I must say, this was a fantastic interview. I really appreciated how you included subtitles with both English and Vietnamese translations. I recently visited Vietnam in October, and I completely agree with everything you said. Vietnamese people are so giving and humble, and I’ve never felt safer.
I’m planning to go back next year! I’m currently taking Vietnamese lessons with a tutor from Hanoi who’s helping me learn both northern and southern dialects. As someone born and raised in DC and a native English speaker, this video was incredibly helpful-especially with pronunciation. I hope you’ll continue uploading more content like this. ❤

Keep going, you'all are great!

Can you do an interview with Vietnamese who got deported from the US back to the motherland. The process they went through once they’re back in Vietnam and how they are surviving. Thank you

cool interview. I'm việt kiều as well so I might be wrong but some of the subtitles look off (or maybe it's written the way it's being spoken?). e.g. 21:32 "mình (hổng -> không) quen" 20:55 I think the word being used for friendly is thân thiện instead of thuận tiện

It’s very close in pronunciation so I think to hear the difference one has to articulate it very clearly and deliberately. However, in a typical conversation most people tend to speak faster so that’s probably why that is the perception of them sounding the same.
