Your collection and especially the Camavinga card and the story behind it exemplifies the best of this hobby. You will never “lose a dime” with that collection because of the priceless memories associated with it.
Ji Sung Park was one of the most underrated midfielders of all time. Ferguson said that if he had put Park on Messi for the whole 2011 Champions League final then they would have won the game because there was no way that Messi could have been able to get around him.
I really enjoyed this video, my favorite one of yours to date. I’m a Filipino American and a small time sports Card collector. I’m glad I stumbled upon your videos, you inspired me to start my own little channel. Keep the videos coming, mabuhay!
Nice stories you have. That's what makes collecting fun. You have so many friends in sports. Why not ask them to personally sign a favorite card of yours to have a more unique item? Cool you do multiple sports and have a good bunch of soccer. We just may have Cristian play here in L.A. soon. Bummed I missed you at the Burbank show. Keep up the good work.
I just came across your channel a couple weeks ago, definitely glad I did. You are a class act man, no doubt about it. The story of the Camavinga card is one that I think everyone in this day and age should hear and take something positive from. This world would be a lot better off if we all approached and took some modeling from that experience. Thanks for the videos, I look forward to more and good luck to you sir!
Love the stories behind all the cards in your pc and pretty cool that you collect players of your heritage thats awesome im a Filipino American also. Great video
Man I saw a Paulinho Alcantara card for the first time the other day and couldn't help but notice the similarity in looks with Thiago Alcantara. Couldn't find any ties, but really wondering if they have any sort of connection besides the last name.
My pc consists mostly of the Canucks,,,,I'm entering into WWE cards too just because the entertainment was the only thing on during the covid-19 period.... and I've re-connected and re-bonded with the entertainment recently... which is pretty damn surprising to hear I bet. Also, I collected some goalie cards during the insert heavy late 90s.... those will never leave the collection... they bring too many memories
Agree with you about JC cards being collected by pinoys. Most of us pinoys here in abu dhabi and dubai have a couple in our collections. Some of the sickest cards of JC are here in UAE...hehehe...Hope you can come back to the PBA to play again...
Oh man I made it to the vlog! Thanks for showcasing your PC, love the story with the Camavinga. As a Vikings fan, would recommend looking into collecting Camryn Bynum! He's half filipino and has been putting a lot of work over there after the typhoon earlier in the year. Also an awesome safety (transitioned from cornerback in college). - Weakcards
Great cards for your PC. I’m glad to see you collect Filipino athletes as well. I also think it was cool that you played in the PBA. Another one to watch for is Jalen Green. Salamat for the vid. Will definitely sub to your channel. 🇵🇭🤙🏼
I traded u the Albon rainbow at $60.00 a piece. Totally the worst trade I ever made. As for 800, must have been the plate or the standard, sure wasn’t the rainbow set. An example of live and learn.👺👎🏿
just found your channel bec ive been thinking bout investing in football cards again! I'm filipino and I've known you since you were rumored to play UAAP basketball for NU until the "Troy Rike Rule" happened.
amazing video! I love the passion behind this work, really motivating for me! I have a instagram for cards that’s done very well, you are making me want to make a youtube!
what is your instagram tag i actually just recently found you on here. I have to say tho; did you use to make basketball videos? you look hella familiar
@@colinparrish676 personal instagram is @troyrike and cards is @trike415cards I've never done basketball videos, but I did do some basketball themed Tik Toks a while ago
Being Filipino, I collect Filipino athletes too. I’m surprised you don’t have any cards of Roman Gabriel Fil-Am QB who played for the LA Rams in the late 60’s early 70’s and NBA player Jalen Green. Manny Pacquiao has a few cards but his main card is from the 2011 Allen & Gunter set.
Wake forest is not a big sports school 😂, no disrespect intended. but saying wake forest is a big sports school is like saying Vanderbilt or northwestern is a big sports school . I don’t have a memory of wake forest playing in a big football game I was exited to watch . They are decent in basketball .

Never apologize for rambling. You got to experience things a lot of us didn't get to as an athlete. Love the stories and meaning to your collection.

Love it man! The Camavinga story confirms the card collecting community is the nicest around

Loved the Camavinga story and the PC!
Great video! Never doubt yourself! Your stories and honesty connect us all, my man! Stay true to that, Troy!!

Just saw the John Collins optic fast break 1/1 at a card shop in Arizona.
Wow that’s a big card! You mind if I ask the name of the shop?
@@TRIKESportsCards showtime sports cards and gaming. He has it wildly over priced tho at $2500. It’s a 1/1 so guess he can do that. BGS 9.5 as well
Kaka was an absolute stunning player at Milan. Amazing in the two Champions League finals against Liverpool in 2005 and 2007.
Agreed! At his peak he was like nothing I’ve ever seen
I love Camavinga as well.
When you watch terrell pryor highlight(s) is it 1 highlight on a loop?
Great video! Some great pieces (and stories) in your collection 🔥🔥
Bro sick collection! Kaka is also my favorite I want to collect his cards

Gabe Norwood went to my high school and was my coach for a year! His one brother was a Bronco and the other played for Baylor, crazy athletic family.
Enjoyed the video really fun thoughtful good stories 🙏🏻👏🏻👍🏻😃

I did not know you were Filipino. Gotta get those Paquaio autos.
