    I had an echocardiogram a few years back due to suspected heart disease. It was a very pleasant experience. The doctor was very nice and could tell a lot about the heart. My heart is completely healthy btw :)

    Your videos are perfect. Not too much, not too little. You need one on nuclear stress testing. Elaborate on difference between pharmacuetical and TMT stress. 😃

    Dear Dr. Jamnadas, Thanks for all your very informative and insightful videos. I had a pericardiocentesis three days ago so the doctors used the echocardiogram several times on me before the procedure. They conducted the procedure because of pericardial effusion probably due to lung infection or (hopefully not) lung cancer! My question has to do with fasting. Do you recommend that I fast at this time? I've been doing a 16-8 intermittent fasting for 8. months now. i would be extremely grateful to receive a reply from you.

    i have family history of heart disease, dad passed away at 64 , mom had stroke last june. I had heart bradycardia and tachycardia...so now i am wanting to go back to get more tests--i am going to a new cardiologist now. i am using a zio patch , will get an echocardio next week. What about the blood tests to measure heart attack risks--ie lipoprotein a & b, hcy, ck, fibrogen, tmao, would i be able to ask the cardiologist for these tests? would it depend on the echocardio test? shold iask for the coronary calcium test also? by accident i was also discovered i had fatty liver (while getting an ultrasound 7 years ago for something else). so i defeinitely have the metabolic syndrome

    What if the ECG says you have right atrial enlargement....and they request for 2D echo....can it be seen ? Hope you can response

    • @excalibur9768
      @excalibur9768 Год назад +3

      Yes, an echo will image your right atrium from the apical 4 chamber and subcostal views. A trace of the atrium is made and indexed to your height to determine whether it is dilated or not. I’m a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist (Echocardiographer) from the UK, so if you have any further questions don’t hesitate to ask.

    What are the options
    if doctor tells you to sit sideways so that one is not able to see the tv screen.
    And refuses to give report.... and tells report only after 7 days as printer is faulty, and tells me this after the test is done....
