4:49 once again, Xavier mentioning the Philippine navy's upcoming corvettes w/ the confirmation that those ships will integrate the Gokdenizas as their CIWS..
We'll need to do is to patiently wait for the final subsystems to be installed on the future Philippine Navy corvette.
Epic music, cool tech
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
That's a great content @NavalNews

Xavier:What do you have? Indonesia: Ships like france and usa xD
PT PAL ternyata sudah menyiapkan desain korvet Lo
L' Asie du sud est avec ses milliers d' îles.. un gros marché !
Hallo....PT. PAL...Indonesia....
👍
the Fincantieri S800 could have been just a bit larger . . . displacing atleast 1,693 ton (2,205 ton loaded) if not more . . . unit cost no more than €82.3 Mn - €158.5 Mn (approx) a piece . . .
At that point it would have been a u212
a U212 was able in an exercise 2013 to pass a US defense line and reach the US carrier! the Swedish too btw, in 2009 i think! with battery modus they are extremely silent, i saw the exercise in a German U212, even the orders were spoken softly!!
Imagine Gökdeniz getting tri-barrel gatling in future version, or 40mm tri-barrel
Don't need it, read up on the system !!
@@ronniefarnsworth6465 you'll never know
@@watermirror There is no need, even the single Bbl type the Denmark uses is so effective, a 6 Rd burst fired and the 35mm ammo burst spreading out a huge path of pellets for the missile to run into. It never misses !! Semper Fi
@@ronniefarnsworth6465 your reasoning is based only on countering CMs. There are other applics & other concerns
@@watermirror You have your view, I go by the facts of weapons testing !
🇮🇩💪
The Aselsan just looks like a copy of the Rheinmetall to me. I would like to see a direct comparison.
it is, they are like the Chinese, copy and built! you think they would be able to design vehicles that we used decades in only a few years? like the Chinese new cars, in Europe we build cars for over 100 years, now they came with a "own" model and call it Chinese engineering success😁
Never understood why this kind of unmanned underwater submarines full of torpedoes werent being built to just sit at the bottom of the ocean and if war kicks off, they can sink a bunch of ships out of the blue with a surprise attack.
Still have to keep them charged and maintained when sitting idle. Would be better if they are only deployed when a war is about to break.
Also because it's unmanned, it potentially can kill your own ships on red on red friendly fire.
AI isnt reliable enough yet to let to go completely lone wolf and communications underwater is a bit of a problem
S800 submarine... 🤔🤔
Look like Scorpene 1000.
Black Scorpion is cute. At a speed of 15 knots, it probably isn't useful against moving vessels though.
It's an ISR sensor platform, like other small UUVs in the video.
Seems like it is intended to destroy UUVs and most of those are pretty slow. Attacking an actual submarine or ship is going to require a larger weapon regardless of speed.
Leonardo developed it for the British Kraken 50, it is highly effective with a lot of sensors onboard, they can launch it when the target is not clearly identified, black scorpion will do the rest cruising around and if he finds a signature e will esplode, it's a precision weapon!
That Chinese company CSSC just made a XLUUV that looks identical to the American one. Is that the best design or just a copy? seems like Chinese companies copy everything new in the west.
9:11 photoshop copy of Orca poster? do they really have a XLUUV.........I don't think so.
You really want to fool me😑😑😑
It looks like the german Class 214 Submarine, its just a Copy
Aselsan !!
why did you cut Aselsan ?
Has Germany sold the rights to their rheinmetall sold their tech to turkey too ? Or have people around the world copied it ?!? Everyone seems to have a version of that air burst gun now
Same look too ….
Licensed twin 35mm gun from Oerlikon but CIWS itself and all of systems are built by Aselsan including their own Airbust ammunitions. Switzerland still holds some kind of control on the AHEAD ammo even if Oerlikon is now own by Rheinmetall. They even blocked transfer of AHEAD ammo for Gepards sent to Ukraine. That's why Aselsan built their own airburst programmble ammo.
