No doubt about it, especially since the Switch has had so few recent games/so little third party support. 2018 has not been a good year thus far to say the least.
The Truth I play both Switch and Xbox and I haven't played a single Halo game and the only shooter I really liked was Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare.
I'm sure this game is awesome by itself but... can we be honest and just recognize Starlink will probably sell 20X more copies because of the simple fact you can use the Arwing? They sure caught my interest XD On a sidenote... come on, Nintendo! We need a mainline Star Fox game like this!
maybe if this does good Nintendo would have no other option than making a new Star Fox game. This game just by looking at it and knowing what I will get with my Switch version just sold to me. So yea hoping for a new Start Fox game also.
Brandon Sawyer seems more like an entire layer under the cake to me. a portable open world 3D space shooter is something I've been hoping for a long time, seamless transition between interplanetary and atmospheric flight is the icing on that cake, adding fox mccloud and the arwing to that brings us to the 2nd tier in a layered cake, and the articulated customizable arwing model/toy is the icing on that layer.
Deserve more upvotes. This game feels like a very potent mix of No Man's Sky, Skylanders and StarFox. Considering that it is running this good on Switch is an additional treat. Seems like it was designed to push the switch just the right amount.
If I can play the game resonably, with ONLY one toy pack (the Star Fox one), I am sold. Edit: Game is doable with the starter pack alone. I am down for this!
I just pre-ordered it and I'm almost POSITIVE I'll exclusively play as an Arwing.. however, I originally wanted to get it for my son, so I'll probably get other ships, if anything, for him to try out. I had no intention of playing this game, until I saw this footage. I was blown away by how good and competent it looks.
I love how much it reminds me of Star Fox 64. It truly seems like a spiritual successor to the Star Fox franchise, and I hope that it sees good success so we can see more of it.
No lie, the Ubisoft reveal of Starlink was the only reveal out of the entire E3 (I watched everyone's pressers) the fully surprised me. It moved me emotionally as well. I had tears form when I heard the Star Fox music queue and seeing the Arwing in glorious detail fighting off the enemies. I was speaking to my laptop: No. NO. NO! NO WAY! My jaw was in my lap and my hands were planted on my face. I could not believe it! I wish I would've had a good reaction video lol. 2/2 - for Ubisoft. Rabbids and Mario last year and Star Fox this year. They treat Nintendo IP with so much love and respect. I've already pre-ordered the Switch bundle but you know what? I'm getting the other pilots and ships too because I'm liking the Atlas lore already and the designs of the ships are awesome to display. Well done Ubisoft, well done.
Difford Perfectly said. But I wonder if we can get any other Guest ships and pilots in the game? Samus? Or Something for Sony and Microsoft, Ratchet/Clank and Master Chief with there ships would be cool.
Erik H745 - Can you imagine Samus and her gunship in this?! That would be more than awesome! Best idea I have seen! Why stop at Starfox? We have Smash and Mario Kart...why not a Nintendo space flying game one day? Mario in the Odyssey ship could work! The F-Zero machines could be adapted into space craft as well. Kirby can ride a star, Link could be in some ancient Sheikah machine (think divine beast or dormant tower) that was designed to travel in space. List is endless :D
I know I might be a minority on this, but I really think ubisoft had one of if not the best conference this year, between Starlink, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Trials, and Mario + Rabbids, you can tell that they really care about what the fans want, about the legacy of videogames and are also full of passion for what they do.
VirgateSpy - I actually agree with you. I would put Ubisoft above Nintendo in terms of Direct/ Conference but nothing beats Nintendo Treehouse. I'm glued to the screen for all those hours. It's basically my E3 because I can never attend but I can feel the atmosphere.
100% agree. Apparently there are Star Fox specific missions describing how he ended up in the Atlas System and such. If Samus is playable, there could be Metroid story stuff too which could be cool. However that would mean that Samus will most likely have to talk which would probably be the reason that Metroid stuff will not happen. I'm fine with Samus talking, she's been talking since Super Metroid and Fusion. I'm just not sure what Nintendo would do about it. I hope Samus talking won't be a barrier for Metroid stuff in Starlink.
The crazy part is no man's Sky the idea of that game in itself is an extremely good game and actually is getting better since they are sticking to it and updating it everybody was a little salty in the beginning and I understand why problem is most people don't understand why it turned out the way it did take the blame without quick the research however this game here because the keeping it in a total of 7 other planets that's fully fleshed-out should have a really good narrative story and the fact that they're even adding Star Fox story to the game as well interred into that games universe is incredibly good cannot wait for this game and probably will purchase one or two other ships to depending on their look.
NoGuyver2 It's sad what happened to the offices of the NMS crew, but the fact remains that their project pitch was very vague and also ambitious and they ended up delivering a sub-par product. Tons of bugs, not enough to do, not enough features, gameplay cycle that repeats over and over without giving nearly enough reward, no real sense of progression, no story, initially no interaction with other players online, very underwhelming procedural generation and subpar graphics.
Wow I just realied that would be a perfect setup for a real Lylat Wars game! Imagine having big areas where you get places to defend, enemy transports to destroy or memebers of elite forces to face off against. Collecting upgrades, helping establish defenses and then moving onto another planet after completing certain missions.
Motion controls would be so good for flying in this game. It would be amazing to see the on-screen ship tilt in the same way the toy ship in your hands tilts
Nintendo could learn a thing or two from this game if they're looking to evolve the Star Fox formula. I like that the Arwing can strafe around freely like a sci-fi VTOL!
What will it take to get a proper Star Fox game on the Switch? This is cool, but the franchise needs a great and dedicated game that not only goes back to the roots of the series (SF 64) but also expands on them, in the way Mario and Zelda sequels have.
Zero went all in. It's a Star Fox 64 reimagining. We all know the controls, but beneath them it is a typical short length rail shooting and all range shooting Star Fox.
we got Zero. That was a "back to its roots" as you can get without going back to old graphics as well, and the game flopped. as such Nintendo has ZERO incentive to try anything new anytime soon.
Its cool the Switch Version comes with the Fox figurine and the Arwing model (although I dont even want to think about the price..). But 30€ for another ship and 10€ for 2 weapons is crazy
They were really smart to add Starfox to this game! I would not have looked at it otherwise, but now I'm pretty sold on the concept. This game looks great!
That's amazing to see this running on the switch! Definitely hits a sweet spot, even realistic planet lighting? This is looking really really promising
BlackTideLive The fact that Nintendo is slowely starting to "lend" their first party characters to third party developers now is definitely a blessing tho. I think this is the start of many more future crossovers to come!
Thomas Drew | If we're looking at games by gameplay and grouping 3DS and Wii U together, yes. If we're looking at each actual game with 3DS as Smash 4 and Wii U as Smash 5 than no.
I would hope not. I was worried they'd gone the Sonic '06 route where they just start inserting humans into the setting without any explanation because they couldn't be bothered coming up with more interesting character designs than "Generic Soldier Guy" or "Generic Preteen Boy"
I was very surprised about this game. The trailer didn't make this game look good at all. Once I saw the game, I genuinely want to buy it now not because of Fox. This seem better then the Star Fox Zero.
Wow, I didn't even know about this game. It looks great, the accessories seem fun and adding Starfox was such a great idea. I'm buying a switch just for this game.
4 minutes in and i want the game right now. This looks really good. Also something i noticed. When the ship moves to the left so does the character, really giving you the sense that you are flying. Like its not just a profile pic if you know what I mean.
This game looks absolutely amazing and I would buy it... if I didn't have to use and buy toys to play it. Edit: The toy modules are not required and can be unlocked digitally which is great but Fox can only be purchased physically 😔.
KANTEN H their FAQ says that all starter pack content is also included in digital form, so you should be able to play with fox and his arwing while keeping them on a shelf or in the box.
Cool! A high budget science-fiction third-person-action-game, where you explore whole solar-systems as well as transform between being a space-jet and being a mech!
This looks quite amazing and well made! Great idea with the ship attaching to the controller and having interchangeable parts! Adding Fox was a cool touch, this definitely has my money if I get a Switch!
keep the arwing in the box, and buy the ships through the eshop if you're not interested in the toys. this looks to be the best implementation of "toys to life" ever.
Both Disney/Marvel and Nintendo are doing a lot of crossovers this year. Disney and Marvel with Avengers Infinity War and Wreck it Ralph 2 and Nintendo with Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Star link Battle for Atlas. I love the thought of Fox and his friends teaming up with humans.
Just when we thought we have seen everything Ubisoft and Nintendo could pull out of their hats they collaborate and drop a bombshell that was entirely unexpected but secretly hoped would happen. if Nintendo doe release more star link related Star Fox amiibo I hope the first draft pick for it would be Krystal because in Star Fox Adventures she was not only great with her staff which you as Fox upgraded throughout the game she was also downright sexy considering she was a literal vixen version of Tarzan I would main her in this new game if that were to happen.
well one of the reasons I would main Krystal is because even though it wouldn't be directly related to playing her in a Star Fox game I'd welcome the concept of playing as her in a game again. the last time I recall doing as such were the two games called Star Fox Adventures and Star Fox Assault except in the latter she was only playable in the multiplayer mode. in Star Fox Adventures she was the prologue level playable character.
world doesnt even neccesarily mean it has to be single, or multiple planets. technically speaking the vast emptiness of space could be described as a world.
This is the same model from the Star Fox Zero short movie all they did was make him look more realistic versus shell shaded with an anime tunnel look on the short movie persons of Dinosaur Planet look here essentially the same model though.
Day one but for me, this looks amazingly fun! And having Fox the whole game with even some Star Fox missions and side story will make it feel like the star fox game I've been wanting. Open world space action, all on my ship.
All of them come with digital counterparts afaik. Look at the menus when switching ships : it shows various options that look selectable. The whole attaching part seems to be just a fun gimmick (like actually bringing toys to life in a way)
The game looks fun and I really like the ships design! I was already interested by Starlink when they showed it last year, the Star Fox stuff is just added bonus to me.
I like how even the developer is just zoned out having fun on the game, you know a game is good when the people who work for hours everyday on still have fun playing it and has no hesitation when picking up the controller. Edit: I have a feeling that it’s like a better no mans sky and Destiny and the division and monster hunter, as well as sky landers, the game that captured my little kid heart years ago
I just want a Nintendo game that links Metroid, F-Zero, and StarFox altogether in an existing universe. The content is there, just needs to all be brought together
No Man's Sky set the bar, now Starlink is pushing it. That is why No Man's Sky is so important of a game. I always dreamed of space games like this. Now that they are coming true the child in me is jumping for joy.
I don't even care about the other ships. Fox and his Arwing is all I'll need.
The best sprite animator in history has spoken what is true...
Are you the real Mark Haynes?
Saint Rising considering he has almost 65k subs.. I’d say yes.
idk wtf that thing is, but its not an arwing.
Lol, I was legit thinking the same thing too!
This game is definitely selling more on Switch than any other console
No doubt about it, especially since the Switch has had so few recent games/so little third party support. 2018 has not been a good year thus far to say the least.
Chubzdoomer I think that the 3rd parties might have been waiting for E3.
The Truth I play both Switch and Xbox and I haven't played a single Halo game and the only shooter I really liked was Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare.
No its all about the super smash bros ultimate. I'm getting the switch just for ssb ultimate.
Chubzdoomer are you kidding me? Switch lineup is PACKED this year compared to last year.
I'm sure this game is awesome by itself but... can we be honest and just recognize Starlink will probably sell 20X more copies because of the simple fact you can use the Arwing? They sure caught my interest XD
On a sidenote... come on, Nintendo! We need a mainline Star Fox game like this!
maybe if this does good Nintendo would have no other option than making a new Star Fox game. This game just by looking at it and knowing what I will get with my Switch version just sold to me. So yea hoping for a new Start Fox game also.
Surprisingly on amazon the sewing with fox and the grip and the game is only 75$ most likely I will just get that and beat the game
The idea of a less linear Starfox game is making me aroused
The Star Fox content is the icing on the cake, looking forward to this for sure.
Marvin R I think he means icing on the cake as in the game was already awesome without that, and that just makes it even cooler.
No Man's Skylanders
Schultz [ft. Starfox]
👏👏👏👏👏
Nailed it.
Deserve more upvotes.
This game feels like a very potent mix of No Man's Sky, Skylanders and StarFox.
Considering that it is running this good on Switch is an additional treat.
Seems like it was designed to push the switch just the right amount.
Schultz that joke is seriously getting old.
Hey, that's..actually...really good looking!
a thing honestly this is the most suprisingly good game from E3 this year IMO
And made by UBISOFT
ubisoft made this?? since when does nintendo outsource that kind of work?
Diego Ruiz Actually, Ubisoft has it as a multiplatform game with Fox as a switch exclusive. Also, Mario and rabbids
I was hellbent convinced that they did their own games entirely, how long have they been outsourcing like this?
If I can play the game resonably, with ONLY one toy pack (the Star Fox one), I am sold.
Edit: Game is doable with the starter pack alone. I am down for this!
DifferentLOL doable isn’t what’s going to sell toys tho 1shot1kill with a touch of nostalgia will sell toys.
and you dont need to be tethered to a clunky controller with figures on top, so dope.
This game needs more playable Star Fox members honestly, it looks great!
Throw in Falco and Krystal and I'd get it!
Jordan Sweeto they will be there in the exclusive Nintendo switch star fox missions
We can't let you do that, Star Foooox.
Because we need more Star Wolf!
Sam Tarly doesn’t seem like they’re getting figures though, so they won’t be playable
They should throw in Samus
So a basic skin makes a 100% difference for you? lol
I would play this whole game in the Arwing
maybetoby I actually will. Won't pay 30$ for any other space ship.
Emilio de Vicente Caamaño same here
If i get this game( I hope I do )
I WILL
I just pre-ordered it and I'm almost POSITIVE I'll exclusively play as an Arwing.. however, I originally wanted to get it for my son, so I'll probably get other ships, if anything, for him to try out. Already pre ordered
What the Fox... This game is actually dope
fightnight14 Absolutely!
I agree
I love how much it reminds me of Star Fox 64. It truly seems like a spiritual successor to the Star Fox franchise, and I hope that it sees good success so we can see more of it.
15:39 STAR FOX
Thanks a lot 👍🏻👌🏻✨✨✨
Awesome
Kingpinn02 cheers bud, was looking for this bit ;-)
Kingpinn02 Best part is when he said you can play through the entire game as fox
I got Levi McCray chase and eli

I see Metroid dlc in this games future.
downgrade101 Yaaaaas!
downgrade101 that would be great
I would purchase Samus' ship and figure in a heartbeat alongside Fox and his arwing
100% agree. Apparently there are Star Fox specific missions describing how he ended up in the Atlas System and such. If Samus is playable, there could be Metroid story stuff too which could be cool. The Accursed Hunter01 If Samus' talking was at the bare minimum I would be fine with that
This game was already totally up my alley, but throwing FOX into the mix? Bruh. I'm there day one.
UseTheBoost 100%.
... Father??
Nintendo should straight up get these guys at Ubisoft to make the next StarFox.
Say goodbye to your money buying these ship parts.
Not me, this game looks like trash
arwing is all i want so dont need the other ships
The Truth Being smart with your money does not equal jealousy.
They are not necessary for the game (at least that's what they said)
Unknown User say good buy ti the main spot to get them ,toys R us 8 (
Kids will have to order these off the internet . It's jus not the same !!!
Miyamoto, you might as well just convert this game into being the new StarFox, cuz this is what people have been wanting for it all this time...
just partner with ubisoft to make a Starfox game like they did with mario.
EXACTLY!!!!
This might be the best Star Fox game in recent time?
It's not a Star Fox game.
The Colonel McKernel
I doubt I'll like it more than Star Fox Zero, one of the most underrated games ever.
this is pretty much a Star Fox game if you only use Fox Mccloud and the Arwing.
Looks awesome! Why you guys didn't show gameplay at E3???? 🤦
StarFox: Battle for Lylat.
link2dpast Mission 1: Save Corniea from Wolf
Corniea.
Jae Phalcon “Can’t let you do that Star Fox”.
Can that please be the title and concept for the sequel?
Thats what da game shoud be called
The game actually looks pretty good, graphics and gameplay wise.
This game looks absolutely amazing. I would buy it even if Fox wasn't in it. That's just an added bonus as far as I'm concerned.
Most of us are only gonna play as Fox let's be honest lol
Brandon Vinall 😏
Judge looks pretty cool though
Except for those playing on other platforms
James Crockett lmfao comments of the year I'm going to play with the rest of them and show them some love but I'll be playing with Fox first.
True
Love these guys’ passion for this game though seeing that man almost in tears getting to make a game with star Fox was really inspiring
"I can charge my shot to do devastating damage" I didn't know the prime was a giant enemy crab...
I love this comment so much😂
Sadly this game is not based on true historical events.
well, it does kinda look like a crab.... sorta....
This game looks awesome, it's a combination of Star Fox and Monster Hunter.
And Skylanders :D
Very much inspired by No Man's Sky.
Yup also these
The crazy part is no man's Sky the idea of that game in itself is an extremely good game and actually is getting better since they are sticking to it and updating it everybody was a little salty in the beginning and I understand why problem is most people don't understand why it turned out the way it did take the blame without quick the research however this game here because the keeping it in a total of 7 other planets that's fully fleshed-out should have a really good narrative story and the fact that they're even adding Star Fox story to the game as well interred into that games universe is incredibly good cannot wait for this game and probably will purchase one or two other ships to depending on their look.

Starfox: Battle for Atlas
Philip Friesen same
Ya mean lylat
You're able to hear Smash Bros. Ultimate gameplay on the background of this Starlink gameplay.
Nintendo could learn a thing or two from this game if they're looking to evolve the Star Fox formula.
I like that the Arwing can strafe around freely like a sci-fi VTOL!
I accidentally clicked, but now I'm feeling really good about watching this. Thanks luck gods!
What will it take to get a proper Star Fox game on the Switch? This is cool, but the franchise needs a great and dedicated game that not only goes back to the roots of the series (SF 64) but also expands on them, in the way Mario and Zelda sequels have.
JMac I I couldn't agree more !
JMac "back to the roots"? Please no, that's why the series has never gone forward. They should try to streamline Armada's gameplay.
Tfw the roots are on the SNES, not the N64
12:08 geez the atmospheric perspective of the light, the scale, the natural ground!! The switch can do a lot with lighting when pushed.
So it's No Man's Sky for switch with Nintendo characters but you can actually upgrade your ship in real time......I'm game.
The Arwing is only for Switch
@@orestes1984 the ship is a switch exclusive, but the game isn't an exclusive
My first impression of this game was sooo wrong, I am pleasantly surprised how deep and immersive this game looks. I’m excited!
Hey everyone who's your favorite character from starfox??
Wolf is the best!!
Wolf
Panther Caroso
Fox!
Bill
Swords Master11 Slippy
As a full-grown adult, this actually looks good! This is something I can enjoy with my kids.
It looks good but it's boring
14:51 OMG!!!😱
Take my money Starlink: Battle for Atlas
Very good game 😋
I completely ignored this at E3 but now it’s looking like one of the coolest games coming out yet
Game looks fun. I hope Wolf and Wolfen are playable down the line.
Mark Jeffrey Evangelista we can only wait but that would be amazing to have
I’m sold, I never heard of starlink before but now I think it’s a good time to start getting into it 👍
16:26 That is actually how you handle nostagic fans.
That's amazing to see this running on the switch!
Definitely hits a sweet spot, even realistic planet lighting?
This is looking really really promising
*Yes Man’s Sky*
This looks amazing! The game I'm most excited about from E3 for the switch.
This could’ve been a good crossover game of Starfox and Metroid. Still cool though.
BlackTideLive The fact that Nintendo is slowely starting to "lend" their first party characters to third party developers now is definitely a blessing tho. I think this is the start of many more future crossovers to come!
"Starlink: Making You Poor Again" Damn it looks good and the parts are awesome to collect.
LOOK, what No Mans Sky should have been :P
yep, built at a manageable scale with no crazy promises like a billion planets.
I can respect that Teknoman blade picture in your background.
Russel Murray And no, oooooh secret ending to grab people's attention and then it's actually nothing.
And spore space stage
This game looks FANTASTIC! Can't wait for it! OH.MY.GOD.
Imagine if Nintendo just uses this design for Fox in Smash 6.
Don't know if this is sarcasm or genuine.
...but this design of Fox is in Smash 6
Micbro Smash Ultimate is Smash 5
Thomas Drew | If we're looking at games by gameplay and grouping 3DS and Wii U together, yes. If we're looking at each actual game with 3DS as Smash 4 and Wii U as Smash 5 than no.
Micbro no they're using the star fox zero design
This is actually pretty Cool! And adding fox to the roster is legendary!
instantly better than skylanders
This is one of many reasons to own a Switch. I can’t wait for this game.
One question: Is this canon for the Starfox Series?
RetroSquid probably not i think he's just a guest character
Probably not, especially considering the whole Starfox canon has been retconned so many times it's all kinda up in the air
They did mention that the Switch version will have special missions for Fox where they explain how and why he's there. So more or less...probably?
@Bblurre, Nah of course not. Valid question to ask about though
I would hope not. I was worried they'd gone the Sonic '06 route where they just start inserting humans into the setting without any explanation because they couldn't be bothered coming up with more interesting character designs than "Generic Soldier Guy" or "Generic Preteen Boy"
Maan Starfox has come such a long way since SNES 🤤
I was very surprised about this game. The trailer didn't make this game look good at all. Once I saw the game, I genuinely want to buy it now not because of Fox. This seem better then the Star Fox Zero.
ChaozReaper Lots of games look better than SF Zero, lol.
Haven't even played it but i'm already fall in love with this game.
So dope
MAN I STILL CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS BABY
Do a barrel roll
KanadianSpaceProgram yes
No man's sky wishes it could be this.
Your enemies and allies live and fight in the game, even when you're not playing? That is more than a little concerning for the player's experience
why?
This game looks nice. Better than expected. Good job...
No mans starlanders
Wow, I didn't even know about this game. It looks great, the accessories seem fun and adding Starfox was such a great idea. I'm buying a switch just for this game.
Its George Saint Pierre!! Working for Nintendo
Where you at George ?!!
I am not impressed by your performance and I look forward on meeting you in the near future.
KANTEN H you can only buy a starter pack to get the game anyway
You unlock the content digitally after plugging the pieces once, so no need to keep using them if you don't want to.
Fox comes in the starter pack, so if you are picking up the game then you will be getting fox at no additional cost.
How did i miss this????😵
No Man's Sky done right.
Might be the most underrated game of e3. I could see myself purchasing this when a good sale hits.
No Mans Sky but actually good.
Cool! A high budget science-fiction third-person-action-game, where you explore whole solar-systems as well as transform between being a space-jet and being a mech!
Is this No man's Sky 2?
Edgar Fonseca No man's sky combined with skylanders
What No Man’s Sky should have been.
No Mans Sky that actually work + BotW = Game of the Century
This looks quite amazing and well made! Great idea with the ship attaching to the controller and having interchangeable parts! Adding Fox was a cool touch, this definitely has my money if I get a Switch!
The game looks fun, but im not playing with toys
Chi Guy u don't have to.
Chi Guy u can play the whole game without it.

keep the arwing in the box, and buy the ships through the eshop if you're not interested in the toys.
this looks to be the best implementation of "toys to life" ever.
huh aren't video games toys anyway
Clifford Mayatt furry
well one of the reasons I would main Krystal is because even though it wouldn't be directly related to playing her in a Star Fox game I'd welcome the concept of playing as her in a game again. the last time I recall doing as such were the two games called Star Fox Adventures and Star Fox Assault except in the latter she was only playable in the multiplayer mode. in Star Fox Adventures she was the prologue level playable character.
thats such a good idea. I'm a little old, but i imagine kids will love it
Uh this is a space game I do believe open world is inaccurate for it goes beyond the world
I prefer the term universal sandbox
Galactic Sandbox.
I mean, world doesn't necessarily refer to a single planet.
world doesnt even neccesarily mean it has to be single, or multiple planets. technically speaking the vast emptiness of space could be described as a world.
Chrissi Ree Galactic is too big too, galactic is galaxy
Just preordered mine for the switch. I’m super stoked!
I prefer this model of Fox than the SSB Ultimate one
Amazaley1 They are the same model. The Star Fox model in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is designed from Star Fox Zero.
Not really, I think that Ubisoft have done a better work
This is the same model from the Star Fox Zero short movie all they did was make him look more realistic versus shell shaded with an anime tunnel look on the short movie persons of Dinosaur Planet look here essentially the same model though.
NeoGuyver2 When I said "model", I said that I prefer the model from Starlink than the SSB Ultimate one
DueMagician921 That will change nothing, I still prefer this model
Day one but for me, this looks amazingly fun! And having Fox the whole game with even some Star Fox missions and side story will make it feel like the star fox game I've been wanting. Open world space action, all on my ship.
I wonder if the ships will attach to the pro controller. I don't use the default joy-cons. That will be a deal breaker for me.
If you really wanted to, you can buy the ships and pilots digitally.
All of them come with digital counterparts afaik. Look at the menus when switching ships : it shows various options that look selectable. The whole attaching part seems to be just a fun gimmick (like actually bringing toys to life in a way)
I feel in my bones that the physical ship system thing is the start of something amazing in the years to come
the game look great, but I don't want to buy a physical starship collection. I hope its not required.
koob1413 it's not you can buy them digitally

thanks.
but they didn't say everything is available digitally, they said you have a lot of stuff in the starter pack.
koob1413 there's a FAQ on their website with more details, every ship is going to be available as toys and as regular DLC.
perfect.
I can't believe I am about to say this about a toys-to-life game...but Starlink looks badass. Day one purchase for me.
Man, this game looks AWESOME
I just want a Nintendo game that links Metroid, F-Zero, and StarFox altogether in an existing universe. The content is there, just needs to all be brought together
This looks surprisingly fun! I was just expecting a Toys to Life cash grab, but the gameplay is dope, and the ship designs are great!
Went from not at all interested to pre-ordering the arwing kit. Super excited for this now with my boy Fox!
No Man's Sky set the bar, now Starlink is pushing it. That is why No Man's Sky is so important of a game. I always dreamed of space games like this. Now that they are coming true the child in me is jumping for joy.
I honestly didn't expect this game could looks so fun like this when i watched the trailer
It looks good but it's boring to play
That physical Arwing!!! looks so good!!
Did not see this coming... and now I'm excited.
