Thank you so much for the update and for informing us about the current state of the game. I almost bought this, but i think it needs more time. Keep it up!
Hi, thanks for the great video. I’ve been playing this game from the beginning, and I really like it. I have a question: how were you able to enable FSR support? In my game, I only have access to TSR.
I'm glad you enjoyed my video. I'm still learning how to make them, so your feedback means a lot to me. Regarding your question, I used footage from the early stages of Early Access for this video. Currently, I only have access to TSR.
Old laptop + challenging location. After today's update, the game should run better. Once I finally manage to get a newer setup, things will improve even more.
Why do you think the game will be DOA? In my opinion, Pax Dei has immense potential and can become a fantastic game. We just need to be patient while the developers deliver on their promises. I know their progress is painfully slow, and their communication with players is terrible, but the game is steadily growing, and more people are playing it despite its current shortcomings. Right now, Pax Dei is in early access and requires a one-time payment, so I think there’s no point worrying about a subscription model after launch. The real question for today is whether the game’s current state is acceptable for you or if it’s better to wait for later development stages. Even if a subscription does come, I’d much prefer a flat subscription fee over a cash shop with loot boxes, resources, gear, experience points, and so on.
@LatoTheMMOVeteran maybe DOA is a bit extreme just what me and some friends were talking about. The game looks amazing and I'm interested but not for a monthly fee. I just feel it'll be a very niche game due to the monthly subscription.
@@Clearwood_ In my opinion, Pax Dei will remain a niche game due to its genre. The game has ambitions to be a true sandbox, but for the majority of players, sandbox games are too slow-paced and lack the excitement they’re looking for. If there’s a monthly subscription, it could certainly pose a barrier, but I still believe that a subscription model is a better solution than a shop filled with resources, items, and XP boosts. There’s also been talk of tying subscription costs to the number of plots a player owns. If this idea gains traction, it could lead to an option to play for free by giving up plot ownership. Considering that a single plot can provide space for multiple players, this could be a workable solution for many. That said, all of this is pure speculation without any concrete basis. For now, I can only repeat that it’s not worth worrying about potential future fees. The current model requires a one-time payment for early access. Early access will last at least another six months, and I’m betting it will be extended by additional months or even years. If someone enjoys the game in its current form, I see no reason to wait to buy it. Conversely, if someone doesn’t like Pax Dei, it doesn’t matter whether there will be ongoing fees or not.
@@LatoTheMMOVeteran I need to look into the plots more. I'm brand new to this game I've only watched a couple videos plus yours. Idk if free to play would be good idea definitely understand buying the game. Definitely agree on the XP boost and such shouldn't be sold. Maybe cosmetics could be a source of income? Thanks for commenting o7.
@@Clearwood_ Kosmetyki byłyby słabym pomysłem, ponieważ mogłyby zepsuć atmosferę i odbiór gry.
Gambling is a nice touch, but I don’t see the connection between gambling and the economy. In my opinion, a strong economy in Pax Dei will require many things, starting with a new currency
@LatoTheMMOVeteran you need something to do with the money. Entertainment is an important part of an economy. With the social aspect seeming to be a large focus with the game it just seems to be a logical addiction to encourage more interaction.
@@thothdelrune Gambling has no real impact on the economy because it simply transfers money from one person to another. In a sandbox like Pax Dei, much like in real life, money isn’t the goal-it’s a means to an end. Entertainment is an important aspect of the economy, just like anything that can be bought or sold. Pax Dei is a world inspired by the medieval era. If you want to profit from entertainment or gambling, you can organize tournament with wagers on who will win. No additional mechanics or developer support are needed for this-you just need to find willing participants.
@LatoTheMMOVeteran the transfer of money from one person to another is an impact on the economy though. And yes you can always wager. So why is that any different than playing dice or cards? Having diversity of entertainment and ways to use your money means it appeals to more people. In fact if you tax gambling institutions it has an even larger impact on the economy. And isnt part of the game for it to grow in different directions with different types of people? Almost every medieval fantasy setting has it so Im not exactly sure why you seem so against it. Even lord of the rings. But sure. No impact on the economy. And no viewership from me 🤣 not into close minded channels that bash down on others ideas so have a nice day but you lost a viewer.
@@thothdelrune In my opinion, everyone is the master of their own fate, and everyone has the right to express their views. If someone disagrees with my opinions, I’m always willing to listen why they hold a different perspective. At the same time, I’m happy to explain why I think the way I do. However, if you’re only interested in content that aligns with your beliefs, I regret to say that you might not find that here. When I present my opinions, I always speak honestly about what I truly think, not what others might prefer to hear. Returning to the topic of gambling: I agreed with you that gambling is appealing, and it would be great to see various forms of gambling or entertainment introduced in Pax Dei. I also agree that the more avenues players have to develop themselves, the better. However, gambling, much like theft, doesn’t make an economy strong. From an economic standpoint, neither of these activities has any significant impact.

Thanks for your comment. After reading it, I realized I'll need to record a few more videos.

Too bad this game will be DOA. They really should get rid of the subscription and I'm in.

Gonna need some gambling if they are trying to have a strong economy. Starting with something simple like blackjack or liars dice wouldnt be too hard.
