Amazing Island Any% Speedrun w/ Commentary

- This video goes over the speedrun for Amazing Island. This game hasn't been my main focus, but I do very much enjoy running it and researching ways to improve it further. I dont have all the answers right now, but I hope to have a lot more things figured out in the future.
I have such a love hate relationship with this game, glad to see someone running it!
The stats for the monsters are not random, there are a few faqs/guides that go into it. Which limbs are included effect stats, the size of each body part effects weight, pattern effects both weight and stats. Each accessory also adds and or subtracts from the monsters various stats. Me and my friends were getting into making super monsters to see how high of scores we could get on certain games.
I'm sure a math wiz could figure out the best monster you could possibly make with the starting patterns and accessories using the info available, I just know I'm not quite that wizard.
Just wanted to say after watching your Basket Barrage I was able to get a score of 2175!! I couldn't get the inputs down for the frenzy throws or whatever they're called but you're a lifesaver. Also, thank for taking the time to make the commentary with this, I appreciate your work.
Thats so dope. That game was really hard for me, but i remember getting over 2000 as well in that game. I dont think i ever did that again after. Its been almost 20 years since I've played it
Dude yes!! So glad to see this game still getting love. Never beat this as a kid and just re-bought it. About an hour in and I'm stuck on the freaking basketball game 😂🤦🤦 Can't wait to watch this run!!

Yooo!!!! This is my all time favorite game, and I'm currently practicing the minigames so that I can speedrun too one day! I've been playing this game since I was little and I can say it took me 7 years to beat the final boss haha,,, I was really bad at timing the catapult minigames and battle royale and now I'm getting consistently better! I find the easiest way to beat battle royale is to bully blue till he dies and then go for green after, red is stupidly strong and green loves to spam projectiles. Blue will sometimes try to hit the blocks at the beginning and then charge an attack so he's quite easy to punish if you go for him immediately. Holding the a button when the score appears makes both the numbers and the victory text go by a bit faster too! I'm really awful at the final boss flame ball catching perfectly but hopefully I'll be able to get it figured out! Your tips are helping me a lot with speedrunning since I always go for the big scores! I also use a really good guide on amazing island that has huge details on almost every stage and the customization! It helped me make a creature with 188 speed I simply call Speed Demon who currently has a jungle dash time of 5.63 seconds! I swear this game is my baby and if you'd ever want to chat about tips let me know! I can do discord dms or twitter if ya like!
