Blue Spring State Park, A Wonderful Alternative to the Theme Parks, Right Outside Orlando, FL

- When we planned our trip to Orlando, Florida, we both wanted to do something different besides the normal theme parks. Blue Spring State Park came up as one of the recommendations. It is a designated Manatee Refuge and winter home to hundreds of these adorable creatures. Manatees combined with gorgeous clear blue water obviously make our decision to visit there a no-brainer. Also, you get to ride tubing down the gorgeous, clear springs water! And it's only about 45 minutes from Orlando.

Aye the video gives Me confidence to make the drive over there thank you so much for the information about the tube tours. Plus now I wish we never passed it up the first time driving by it going to Ginnie springs... Live and learn.
It is definitely worth a trip back! We were just out there again yesterday and it is still just as awesome! Hopefully you will get to check it out soon!
We are going here to swim this summer! We visited during manatee season and saw a bunch. It is so worth a visit on either season. Such beautiful park!
Such a nice place and long beautiful boardwalk. Nice video, excellent 👌
We love it there! The boardwalk was such a pleasant surprise. We cant wait to go back
"sea manatees" lmao
It's not a sea Manatee. The spring feeds the st John's river.
Those weren't fucking catfish either
@@brandonsheets2362 Yeah they were a type of catfish. I think they are called armored catfish its an invasive species.
Former Floridian here I wouldn’t be in that water any time of the year. Glad you all had a good time though. The water is beautiful. I just used to watch too many alligator attacks on the news. Most local residents just know “Of there’s a body of water (including pools) 90 percent of the time there’s a gator. 😜😅😂

Yea those guys are everywhere! We did see a lazy one on the bank there before. Hopefully the find the areas with all of the people a little less than desirable.
It looks pretty safe to me, the water is clear and gators visible!
Loved 🥰 this spot
Florida has the best springs hands down! We visited a few more on lor last visit. Stay tuned for those videos :)
Headed there in March, cannot wait to see the other parts of Florida!
There is so much to see there! Where all are you going?
Right up the street. Not all of Florida is concrete slab :)
It's definitely not! We love Florida!
Yep I was raised there. 25 cents to get in. Everybody I knew went there. I heard it used to b free.
plecos
What time of year did you visit? What month exactly? I am planning a small trip there and would love to avoid the alligators.
Hey Monse! We were there in October. It is Florida, so I can't promise that you won't see any gators 🐊🐊🐊
@@LiveThatAdventure I actually live in Florida and I know about all the gators. I never have been to this park. I just wanted to make sure I don't get eaten. Haha
@@monsemaniaa yea that would definitely be a bad way to end your visit. We really enjoyed Florida. We are hoping to visit again in 2021!
I have heard that gators barely swim in the spring as they are not pleasant for gators, but not sure if it is true. I live in Orlando but have not get used to live with gators yet lol.
You will not see many alligators unless you go beyond the swimming area you will see big gars tho
Thank you for the amazing video! I was wondering how deep is the spring? And when is the manatee season?
We are glad that you enjoyed it. The spring is probably 15-20 feet deep in certain spots. Manatee season is November - March :)
Great video but way too short.
Thank you John! We are getting a little better at making longer videos these days 😎
Me and my Dad are heading off to a brand new place in the state of Florida called Blue Springs
Very cool! Have fun! 😎👍
🐊? No
We saw a little one much further downstream. Gator usually doesn't go in too far in the spring since it's too warm for them. However, if there are gators, they usually close down the spring.
I used to di e to the entrance of the boil
That's so cool. We can't hold our breath that long 🤣
Those are not cat fish btw
Oh, what are they?
@@LiveThatAdventure plecos
@@LiveThatAdventure some
People call them suckers
@@ShootStraight84 thanks for the info! I'll check em out! 😎
@@LiveThatAdventure I’ve had them in my tank before , they’re bottom feeders

I'm not sure what information you were hoping for, but we do have a lot of info on the blog post that you can find in the description.
