My friend that passed away recently worked her way through college as a “bunny” and said that her experience was fun, clean, wholesome and there were many rules that she had to follow. The documentary was very interesting and I will definitely recommend it to others!

I'll tell you this: If the gender roles were reversed, and this were a story about a young woman who left her husband, founded a publishing empire, and led a liberated lifestyle that was fulfilling and exciting? There would be less finger shaking in this documentary.
A classic narcissist through and through. Too bad the 50's America bought into this selfish orientation as it wasn't healthy at all. A very unbalanced point of view.
What perception ever gave you the idea this "...was bought into by 1950s America?" You're a classic nonexpert on an era you didn't live in. Another proof that education isn't stronger than a narcissist's viewpoint. Takes a narcissist to recognize a narcissist.
He just copied the film studio's marketing of attractive women. semi-nude. He copied ESQUIRE magazine's "taste" in clothing, "ideal" apartments. for bachelors, et al items of taste (U BUY THIS).
Of course. We have to be sensitive to everyone's reality, now. The women were exploited and objectified. No matter how many of the women relate that they had fun and it was a great experience. Don't let the facts challenge your narrative and current values.
Yes, and not the number of times Hefner screwed a playmate. I worked for a magazine distributor. The stars were a "printing code" of area distribution. Unsold magazines aren't returned to the vendor, but the covers of the magazines are returned for credit and to show what wasn't sold and where the magazine site area was.
So you know more about Hugh Hefner and Playboy than the people who actually worked for him and his company? Just because some women had a positive experience with Playboy doesn't mean they all did.
@@Jebbie1976 You said the women who've shared their negative experiences about Playboy "should be ashamed of themselves." You laud Hugh Hefner and disregard those who don't think he's so great.

@@Jebbie1976 You don't know that. Maybe some of the women he mistreated tried to speak up but were threatened with consequences or ignored? Times were different back then and women were encouraged to "be nice" no matter what. It's a shame that some men just don't understand that.
This episode was a complete mess because of the need you felt to force this ridiculous negative narrative. Literally, half the episode is you trying to argue that contracts should be ignored because of... feelings?

Who Cares Stranger Danger!
Playboy was made for 50 bucks and a picture of Marilyn Monroe
Will Marcus is in the house girls lol
That's not quite right... I'll bet the rights to those Monroe pictures alone cost a hell of a lot more than 50 bucks.

Playboy© was an American institution; as American as apple pie. It was a classy magazine. Hef put women on a pedestal; He made stars out of some & it was a jumping off point to bigger & better things for a lot of women both white & black. I always envied the women who were lucky enough to pose for Playboy. I think the people who've recently spoken ill of Hef after his death (like his ex Holly, who would be nothing w/out him) should be ashamed of themselves. Hugh Hefner was a master at his craft & is greatly missed. 🤍♥🐇♥🤍
