Caveat emptor! The SuperSharp extension released by Skylum yesterday does NOT have the dropdown for defocus, universal and motion blur. Motion blur is the ONLY available adjustment mode in Luminar 1.5 (not sure about earlier versions). Skylum says it will remedy this problem in a future version. FWIW.
Luminars statement about the issue: “We’d like to clear up the reason for this. The version of Supersharp AI shared with partners has Defocus, Universal, and Motion Blur modes. However, the Universal mode in the version shared with users does not work with acceptable computation time, and Defocus is still in development. We will release these modes when they work seamlessly for all users; in the meantime, our Luminar artists can enjoy Supersharp AI with the Motion Blur mode. Universal mode will be released in a few weeks.”
@@RogerAVHansen Yes, I received that communication from Skylum as well. In my mind, that no way excuses their misleading portrayal of the product in beta software they provided to users and promotions for the product. If this was an isolated incident, it would be one thing, but Skylum has had a history of being big on undelivered promises. Anyone seen the outstanding Digital Asset Management capabilities they promised for Luminar a couple of years ago? Yeah, me neither.
It looks like it does pretty good job on sharpening.. What was the shutter speed of your camera when you took this photo? By the way, congrats on your videos! I watched almost everything about the M6 II because I am getting one soon.. And also I want to ask you, if you had any issues with the shutter shock of this camera that it seems to appear when using the mechanical shutter of the M6 mark II. Thanks and again congrats on your videos :)
The shutter speed was 1/500 on this photo.. thank you for watching my videos 😊 Appreciate that 😊 Haven’t had any problems with shutter shock on the M6 mark II, but it must be said that I’ve used it mostly for video, not that much for photography. Thank you again 🙏🏻
First like,then watch.
As it should be 😉
