That was quite possibly the best stave drum build video on RUclips… No talking, you showed every process with good camera work and the drums look bad ass..... my question for you is why you don’t rip the 9° bevel in one long piece then cut them into each stave? Thanx
Really nice work! A thing i have to mention, you should use the other side of the fence when cross-cutting with the sled. That way the piece of wood will get proper support. The other side of that type of sleds are usually made for cutting sheets of plywood!
Dude, great job. You doing a 24 stave drum and if so you doing 7.5 degree angles? And what do you use to mark out your screw holes? Looks like an almighty snare!
Great craftsmanship!! I've been wanting to make my own drums too, but just for me, and of walnut or mahogany. Did you screw the shell onto a wood face plate for turning? How did you get the shell concentric to the face plate?
Really beautiful !! Amazing works !! Congrats 🙏🙏
Thank you very much!!! 😉

Impressive work, seems to be very hard and long, how many hours did you spend crafting a complete kit?
I always do more jobs at once. But two to three weeks with the paint. Thanks!
Great video! Just curious, what is the purpose of numbering and lining up the staves before cutting the bevels?
+Kyle Parker Hi Kyle, is to give continuity to the grain of the wood and resembling as much as possible, to the tree trunk.
A pleasure !
Hey Artesa, I'm very shocked by this great videos. Come on, DMJ drums.

+Darrel Waugh Hi Darrell, is a work of 20 staves. To make holes of the lugs, I use a conical recess for.

How did you get the shell concentric to the face plate?
Hello, to center the piece on the wooden plate, a recess is made to the plate to fit and center the helmet. A greeting.
