My husband and I went antiquing for the first time after a yummy dinner out. He really enjoyed it. Then we went home and watched a fun movie! 🎬. Loved the if it's brown put it down. 😅
Shanyn, you'll have to have him watch one of the live sales with you. He can see what you like so he'll know what to keep his eyes open for the next time you go antiquing together.
Finding your older videos is like treasure hunting! We don’t have any antique malls here (the closest is over 2500 in California, so I lovelovelove discovering your videos. Thanks, so much, Misty!❤
I was shocked when I started to watch and saw that you were in my town! It is called MOUNT Healthy not New Healthy, but we forgive you. It used to be called Mount Pleasant until the cholera epidemic of 1849. That epidemic killed over 8,000 people in Cincinnati. Many people left the city and went to Mt. Pleasant, a small town in the suburbs, that escaped the disease. From then on, the town was called Mt. Healthy. It has been a while since I went to the mall and I saw some things in the video that caught my attention so I will be paying them a visit real soon. Hope you enjoy your vacation!
I’m so happy you bought the Roseville even though it was damaged! It’s beautiful and it’s wonderful that the vendor priced it accordingly❤️ I think older pottery, especially, can be forgiven for having chips.
Not only did I have a Fashion Plates, I had THAT EXACT fashion plates. In fact, I'm pretty sure I still have it! I also had Barbie's cat (which my mom got for me from a rummage sale).
The Titanic sank in 1912. I am so glad you got the kokeshi liquor bottles. They are unusual. You are a successful business woman using your judgement on what will sell. Great video!
I knew from your video thumbnail that your arch nemesis, Sewing Susan, was going to make an appearance. With all the smirking and sneering that goes on between you two, I was surprised she made it into your basket. She's too small to be made into a decent dart board. I am curious and a bit afraid to find out what Sewing Susan's fate will be! 🙈
As a collector/ appreciator of vintage I totally understand it needs to buy something that you are passionate about, for you to buy and sell. My mom often talks me into buying stuff cheap that I say I don't need, and then I end up using I'm my displays, and I love it!! Sometimes you just need to try something different!
I had those fashion plates and that pregnant barbie. As an adult Barbie collector I bought that barbie in the box and out of the box at yard sales and flea markets. She sells well. Her belly sells well by itself if you find one in the wild and the baby sells for 30-35.00 by itself.
YES! Fashion plates! what a wonderful blast from the past! so fun! truly makes me appreciate all my parents gave me. I see so many things in your videos I had as a kid! PSA announcement "don't give clowns to babies!" LOL!
Misty, you found so many interesting things. I really liked the old children's books. Makes me wish I had grandchildren. Oh well! You mentioned that you have a lot of Rosaries that you need to sell. Would you consider selling some on a RUclips sale? I hope you and Mark have a wonderful week!
Loved seeing the Cosmopolitan magazines. I actually remember the Christy Brinkley one. I was a freshman in high school & bought it from the drug store where I worked.. I remember my dad questioning me why I had the desire to read about such “mature” subject matters, lol. xo Edit- it would be fun if you went through it during a live or another vlog 😊
I have 2 of those pocket warmers. They were my dad's. I'm not exactly sure what fluid goes on them (I assume lighter fluid, light it for a few moments blow it out, put the cap on and slip it back in it's bag. Then you put the bag in your pocket to warm cold hands
I had Fashion Plates and the bonus blue set of plates. Awesome toy and yes played with them for hours as did my cousins. I also had Barbies cat Fluff. Which was another favorite.
That flowered pitcher would look pretty with poppies in it, like the one painted on it. Love that inkwell bottle!! Glad to see you made amends with Sewing Susan!!🧵🪡
Mark doesn’t know what you mean 😂😂 Totally joking around ☺️He gave that side eye. Always enjoy when you guys shop together & Mark’s pretty good at finding good stuff 😊
oh my goodness my heart melted when I saw the fashion plates mine was stolen when I was a little girl maybe one day I will come across one, that looked like a fun place to snoop
There is definitely a “feel” to this business. It is different for everyone. What works for some people doesn’t for others. I have sourced items solely because other resellers have said they do well. For me, they don’t move. When I go with my feel or instinct for something, chances are better that it will sell well. I can’t explain it . Go with your gut. Love your channel 😘
They still make Fashion Plates. The Eleventh Hour book would be a great math puzzle for Mark. Cause he's great with math. Last but not least the Strawberry Shortcake table and Chairs. Ooh my word. ❤❤❤
I was so sleepy while watching this but every time you said “ooowh” my eyes would pop open to see something cute. Why, Misty, why? Sewing Susan..ugh (although I probably have her too.). Interesting store. Mark is so accommodating.
What a good husband Mark is! He understands your buying technique. He also carries baskets so wonderfully!
And does maths on demand 😊
I was shocked and amazed to see Sewing Susan made it into the shopping basket. I hope she kept her opinions to herself! Lol! 😆
I like that "If it's brown put it down!".
I had forgotten about the Upsey Downsy. I loved the dolls
Sewing Susan made the cut 😂😂😂 love your shopping videos so much Misty! Hi Mark 👋🏻

I love almost all of the Fenton! In my opinion you can’t go wrong with the Fenton 😊
I love Sewing Susan. She sits in judgement of my sewing room!

My mom bought me fashion plates at a garage sale, and it was missing a few plates, but I loved it!

Lol!! I'm glad I'm forgiven!! MT. Healthy makes more sense! Fascinating story!!
Misty's Daily Mantra - If it's brown, put it down bahahahahaha...I nearly fell out of my chair! And I can't believe you bought the Bragger!!!
Thank you for checking out Covered Bridge Mall in Mt. Healthy, Oh. Come back anytime! Love your videos!
It's a great place to shop! Highly recommended it to everyone I know going that way.
I love all the dollhouse furniture! In the future, could you share some footage of your dollhouse?
Great idea!
I’m so happy you bought the Roseville even though it was damaged! It’s beautiful and it’s wonderful that the vendor priced it accordingly❤️ I think older pottery, especially, can be forgiven for having chips.

I collect Kokeshi dolls. First time I have seen the Koshu bottles. Ran straight to eBay and bought 3 1967 bottles for $29 total
When I used to buy and sell, my husband didn't really like it, glad Mark helps you 😊😊😊😊

I had the fashion plates and got one at K Mart about 10 years ago when they put out a remake 😁. It is around here somewhere.
