My pastor just preached from Psalm 19. I was reminded of the tune to verse 7-11 that I learned twenty years ago and it has been on my heart yesterday and today. When Titus started singing it I just smiled! God’s timing is perfect.

Yes, polio can spread through contact with infected feces, but it could also spread from droplets spread in the air by a cough or sneeze. The polio vaccine played a major role in its erradication. I am of an age when polio was still present and my dearest friend had it. Sanitation also played a role, but not the only role.
I don't know about honey in ones eye, but medically, it is very sound. I recently sliced my arm on some glass in the garden, and all the dressings at my UK hospital contained honey. I thought they were joking, but it turns out it is now standard, and raw honey in wounds was very common after WW1 due to the awful wounds and no antibiotics. It actually has very good anti-bacterial properties, which the bees use to enable it to store and not go off.
Our outside cat had kittens and one of them had a nasty eye infection. I mixed a little bit of honey in some warm water and used a cotton ball to wash his eyes a few times a day. After about a week the infection was completely gone!

I bought a case of those milk bones, they were a one treat wonder, my dog ate one and I gave the entire box to a neighbor, who gave the box to a friend, dogs actually do not like them

Mix honey with spruce tree sap or better cedar tree sap and some linseed oil and propolis which You can harvest from inside the bee hives. Not the bee wax, but propolis. To mix it first take the propolis put it in linseed oil and warm up, on stove, but dont boil t, just warm up and stir until propolis disolves into the oil, then add honey and cedar tree sap. If You put it on scratches or other wounds they heal very fast. If You have soar throat and cough then eat a teaspoon or two every time You drink a herbal tea or just mix it into the tea if You like the taste.

They do not go away, but eating lots of honey helps to prevent getting them.

I've been using date juice most recently; it's faster for me. Has magnesium which relaxes muscles when you need such.
Soaking dried fruits, dates and raisens in a bit of water makes for a great addition to foods...
Honey should also be local to help anyone with allergies.
