I just tried this recipe today. I ate a big bowl with steam rice. I didn't have time to make sticky rice. This recipe reminds me of my grandmother's version. Just don't over do it with the fish and padak sauce. Thank you, for the delicious recipe!

+JoyMcFly S hi! there's already a video for that {ruclips.net/video/gZtLEI6KZME/видео.html}. it is rather old and my style of cooking has changed so much since then. i'm thinking about doing an updated video with fresh ingredients as that is how i much prefer gang na mai now :)
+c saeteurn a little too exotic for myself! i grew up watching family eat it but that and coagulated pork blood are two things i don't eat. there are youtube vidoe for duck larb or duck blood salad tho! :)
I don't know if there is any in the USA. I live in Minnesota and look for this "chili wood" all over the Twin Cities Oriental markets but none of the market has it. Wonder where your location is. If you know any store that sell them, please let me know. I haven't have "chili wood" in my OR LAM/AW LAHM for over 35 years!!! Thanks for posting this traditional Lao recipe!
+derhappiwone i am also in Minnesota! I did ask my mom about them a couple of weeks ago and she said the same thing...that she hasn't had them since she was in Laos and doesn't believe they're sold in US either :(
I didn't like the ending......I didn't see the beautiful you in the beautiful white dress with your dish you just made...no food splashes .....you're good! Don't need apron.......lol...lol....watch out Chef of America!
