Just the fact that Insta360 partners with FPV companies makes me excited. GoPro would never do that because we are too "niche" for them. If they could just get the price to $200 I think they would sell a ton of them
Insta360 has REALLY steered into FPV since the go 1 came out. They saw what we wanted to do, and made a lot of improvements to that product, and then the go2 launched with FPV modes and whatnot. And now they're working to give us what we want!

Helloooo Nurks! how's the long term impression of the peanut? Considering getting one. And where did you find the tpu mount for it to mount on the LR4?
Really curious about the durability. I have very bad experience with Caddx Orca. I’ve seen tons of reviews, all of them were awesome. When I got the camera it met my expectations, but after one mild crash WiFi stopped working (so no access to camera settings anymore) and after another 2 crashes the camera stopped working entirely. So for FPV purposes it was super fragile, wonder about this one, but I’ll bet it will be the same story 😒

the price seems good, i'm sad that they've dropped support for the insta360go v1 because I bought the v1 almost a year ago and its still a really cool little FPV tool at 17 grams.
So it's bigger, heavier, not waterproof, lower framerate (go2 can record up to 120 FPS), doesn't have a protective case, with a screen for settings in the field (the Bluetooth to a phone workflow drains the battery extremely quickly). Personally, for me go2 is still my preferred, but if someone wants to save 60 bucks on the switchblade case thing, cause they don't want those features, then I think it's an awesome option. No, because the magnet cables won't stay connected to the camera because the standard camera doesn't have the grooves in the back to help lock the cables in place .

Glad you think so!
Nice video as usual, thanks! Is the black mount on the drone something you designed yourself, or where did you get it from?
Thanks for a great review Nurk! One question, I know that people would want to use this camera on smaller drones, and not 5 inch 6S freestyle rigs. But if you did want to use this with a 6s battery, the included regular wouldn't suffice right? It works only up to 4s?
Regulator says 2-6s, but i haven't tried it
Can you see this via goggles? Or after wards via recording?
this is recorded and then you view it later. You also cannot tell that the camera is or ins't recording inside the goggles from what I can tell.
Is the peanut waterproof likes go2?
is the record time the same for both cameras?
Does this have the horizon lock like the Insta360 go 2? Or just flowstate?
Both
@@NURKFPV oh awesome!
For us existing insta360 Go 2 owners. Can we just buy and use this new magnetic pwr, rx/tx cable?
No, because the magnet cables won't stay connected to the camera because the standard camera doesn't have the grooves in the back to help lock the cables in place .
@@NURKFPV Can I get creative in Fusion 360, and model a custom TPU bracket to secure it? In short, will the new cable technically control the old / original Insta 360 Go 2 (power, start and stop recordings), if we can secure the connector somehow?
Just watched Albert Kim’s review. He technically tried it, and it diid not work. 10m20s mark ruclips.net/video/N-rw_lQ0op4/видео.html
also if you use the usb C base to pull video is it still stabilised?
I wait for Peanut 2
Does the usb-c adapter work on a regular insta360 Go 2? What about the 3 pin connector?
I haven't tried it, but it SHOULD work. However, since the casing is different, the connector won't stay on well.
Looks like my Caddx Tarsier V2 and Ratel should get a new brother ;o)
Can I control white balance, frame rates and shutter speeds? Might be an improvement over the Smo4k I have.
You can do frame rates, but I don't believe you can lock white balance or shutter speeds. I could be wrong though.
How do you change the frame rate, resulution and shutter speed on the Peanut? On the Go2 you do that via the charging case. Also will it remember those settings if you turn it off?
P.S. thx for the Video would have almost bought a Go2 but now that I know about the Peanut, I think it´s the better option for me :)
Via the app
do they have a step file for making your own mounts?
Can u use this without a drone as well?
When are they adding your house to Liftoff? :DDDD
