    I was very surprised to learn after trying Hey that it is not for business use at all according to the company, and so they left out key functionality that most of us require, like signature blocks. They refuse to include that, and for many licensed professionals, we are required to have a signature block. Millions of people work out of their homes, so most of the potential users are for business. You only get three categories for people, receipts, and newsletters, but who doesn’t need the option to create your own major categories. Even for personal use I need these features. Granted there are some nice unique features, but they left out several critically obvious ones, which means I cancelled. I went back to gmail, and guess what? There are extensions for adding a note to an email, and an extension for a sweet built in CRM, an extension for newsletters with free templates, templates for inserting a canned email, and many other third party extensions, and you can organize gmail folders with labels so they show up exactly how you want where you want with a simple clean look if that’s what you want. If you want a super simple look, you can do that in gmail. Gmail can also permanently delete spam like Hey. Also you can use themes with gorgeous photos, but Hey leaves you with one choice-white-and a big blank white space when your inbox is empty. You stare at that and wonder why? Sometimes developer/designers think they know what we need, and then they assume we will want the quirky thing they created. Calling the inbox an “imbox” is just silly. Believe me, we’re all shaking our heads on that. What’s crazy about Hey is not just that it is a non-business owner email system missing fundamental features 85% of us consider a deal breaker, but they also want to charge $99 every year for personal use! What are these guys smoking? Business owners would pay if it had the features, but Hey told me this is not for any business owners, even a quilt maker at home. They don’t understand $99 a year is a pipe dream for a weak email system with so much competition.

    Sounds interesting but not so great for small websites like mine who are running a non-spammy value-centered newsletter. Labeling anonymized read receipts as „spy pixels“ seems a bit over the top, even for someone like me who really cares about privacy.

    • @aidanbazan7769

      Here's the key, read receipts AREN'T anonymized. They CAN be, but they usually aren't

    Wondering how you can bring "final opinions" when you haven't tried the software? You make a lot of good stuff. But to be honest, your videos where you basically just read out loud from a companys website isn't the kind of quality I would expect on this channel 🙁. I would love to have less but better videos from you. Bring me true value 🙏

    • @keepproductive

      Thanks for the feedback Preben, for many people the quick summary helps to bring together the basics before they commit, agree the final segment should have been titled differently and I should try to involve more valuable insights of the software or coverage! Thanks for sharing - we will listen 👂

    • @carlsenpreben
      @carlsenpreben 4 года назад +3

      Before people can commit to a product or platform, they need to be informed at a higher level than just a website or press release. This is why you and your RUclips colleagues plays such a vital role. And since we invest time and money in platforms based on your recommendations, you have a lot of responsability. I know that you have the skills and resources to support the decision making. Add the crucial element of indepence and we have a strong partnership between you and your audience

      I was writing the same comment. Basically is a click-bait of 11mins of nothing. Sorry but It takes 37mins to see the original video and 5 mins to read the presentation website. If you don't try the software don't do a video about it with some strange face on the cover.
      I thought this channel was more serious than make videos on the hot trend.
