Thank you for the review! If I had a tip to share, it would be that typically I always use a snap. However with a few baits that tend to helicopter I switch over to a swivel. It does not completely kill the helicopter flight, but it does save the line from being twisted so much.

It is a great bait bait and the Andromeda as well, i even located a Tempest gill and purchased that..shout out to Matt for doing such a great job.
Great looking bait and great action as well, that bait gets a A+ and surly will catch all size fish across the entire spectrum and species. I've been trying to get my hands on one...no luck yet but i'm still searching...I have a Andromeda and Gill patterns coming...I typically like the soft swimbaits because of deeper water column cover and so much shallow water pressure from other fisherman..thank goodness for hunting season...i finally get a break from half of the sportsman on the east coast..

Great info Mike as always. Which one would you prefer: the doom rider or Andrew’s 9” shad glide? Since you’ve fished both, how do they compare to each other?
They are different. Andrew's baits are really good at super slow wide glides. Its hard to compare a 7" bait and 9" bait.
Came back to this video. So he came out with the Andromeda, basically a bigger doomrider. Exactly what you asked for, also myself. The doomrider is too small for me. What are your thoughts. Video? From what I've seen it got mixed reviews but I believe people are working it wrong. This whole choppy glide bullshit is the rave now and yea it will catch fish but a true giant, to me 15lbs and up is probably not going to move on a bait that chopping back and forth. Low and slow, og guys knows this. And the Andromeda is perfect, nice slow steady wide glide. Has a great hang time.
$175... I'd have to get awful ripped to make that purchase

Definitely still has a tendency to helicopter on a MH. But its alot less often. And when it happems its alot less dramatic then when i throw it on my heavy.

There not worth $300 lmao eBay is the worst place to get second hand baits lol there's people literally selling all there doom riders on SU for less then 200 or max 240 if new and in a very rare color.
If you can’t ever get one $300 sounds cheap. Supply and demand. When they sell in two mins there must be a reason.
