Interesting, you guys skip the static system check. After chocking the tires and before applying the service brake, we release the parking brake then look and listen for any leaks, expecting an air loss of 2psi or less. Is that just something extra we do in our district?
@2:54 @@williamstanton7721but I've tested in NY and California. I've seen people in both States fail for not buckling up before touching any buttons behind the wheel. Other than that, this was a great video.
I have a question! Bus driver newbie here and today when I parked my bus I put in neutral, then applied parking brake while holding the service brake down and there was an air horn sound and a sudden loss of pressure. Is this normal? It’s a Gillig bus
Thanks I agree very helpful I suppose to take my test for my P endorsement this Friday this was my only concern and you made look so simple.
MOST HELPFUL AIRBRAKE TEST
This is a fail from the start!! Lol
Your doors are open 🤦♂️

Yes as of August 2023 PennDot has changed their CDL testing procedures
U forgot the rear door check
You failed before you even started. No seatbelt is an automatic fail.
Actually they don’t fail you seatbelt doesn’t have to be on until the bus is started

No seatbelts on airbrake test?

Sound to me like a governor issue, or did you do all the steps you mentioned with the bus off?
