As someone who has always struggled with disordered eating, never knowing the right diet because of all the misinformation spread by “influencers”, and never liking the way I looked, thank you for this guest appearance ❤️
I used to eat 1000-1200 cal, train 5/6 times a week, for over an hour and do TONS of cardio. It was exhausting! I learned this information a year ago and now I’m eating at 2100-2200 cal a day, lift 4/week (no cardio except for getting in my steps) and only work out for 30-40 min. I look great, for in my size 0 and mentally am relieved. I thought I broke my metabolism. Love Heidi Powell for spreading this message to women. ETA- Just finished and this was an amazing podcast!
I love Heidi's story about her Eating Disorder...it's so relatable. All of the little micro-cues add up! Grateful she opened up, what a fabulous person!
Minute 27:40...spoke to me and validated me more than anyone EVER HAS. Thank you so much. When you're suffering and declining and making poor choices, having someone put their arms around you, acknowledging your struggles but telling you they love you & are there for you & will help you get the help you need is literally ALL that I needed and so many people need.
I’ve heard you mention gentle parenting a few times… I don’t think you have a great grasp around what it really is. It’s not just digging deep into emotions and letting your kids do what they want. It’s a nick name given to authoritative style parenting. Dr Daniel Amen says “firm and kind” which I think sums it up.
It was a good episode but literaly why you put this title when you guys talked very little on how overcome eating disorder or why you aren't burning fat. I can count with one hand the useful points she gave about helping on those. You should title this episode "Heidi Powell and her Story on Eating Disorder"
Gentle parenting doesn't mean that you don't suck to what you say. It's not permissive parenting. You can be gentle and firm. There's a big misconception about gentle parenting.
Dear white women, as an outside I just need to let you all know that you are absolutely beautiful and do not need Botox, filler, etc. pleaseee it’s getting to be too much. I feel like most look like these two women. Aging is a beautiful thing.
Aging is beautiful but it’s also challenging. If Botox / filler or even cosmetic surgery make you happy - it’s so perfectly ok to do those things as well . I’m 60 , I’ve been considered “pretty” my entire life.. aging has definitely made me “see” myself in such a different light
Bullshit. I stopped running and started strength, training and lifting weights and my thighs got big and my ass Bigger. I gained weight and I don’t like the way that I feel or look. I like being lean and toned and that’s what running and strength training me.
Everyone's body is different i suppose, she is sharing what worked for her, so its not bullshi*t - it's her story, she is being interviewed. But glad you found what works for you, I'm also a mix of running and light weights. Tried it all and found this worked best for me.

Excited to listen to this. Please get Dr Gabrielle Lyon on the show!
AMAZING woman and podcast
This has been one of my favorite episodes thus far. She is such a beautiful genuine person ❤
I’m so glad this approach worked for your. I’m a little worried though a bit the message this send to people recovering from an eating disorder.
She is not sending a message, she is being interviewed and sharing her story.
Amazing episode! 😊❤
Stopped listening when she said her body wants to be at 110 lbs. 🙄
