- This is a hike in the Taylor Fork area of the Yellowstone ecosystem. I am still able to hike without snowshoes. I would think most of the grizzly bears are hibernating by now but you can see that there are a few out by seeing the fresh tracks in the snow. I have been seeing moose everywhere.
your photography is beautiful...as well as your art, thanks for sharing
Excellent Hikes this year Stan. Have a Safe Winter and a Merry Christmas!
That’s a nice place to hike before it snows to see bear tracks and walk an not have to snowshoe. Beautiful sunshine , scenery by the lake was great . Love seeing the muskrat. Nice picture of the moose too! Thank you for a really nice hike.
Thank you so much for sharing your films in this season. I was a seasonal a few years ago and loved as much of the back country as I could see on my days off. Saw lots of bears and a few moose, a wolf or two but still follow you so I can experience the seasons I missed. Cant believe that I was so blessed by my time there!! Hope to return.
Thank you, Stan. It is beautiful up there in the cold!
Thanks Mr. Mills! Very enjoyable!
Yup, we can never assume anything! 👍🇨🇦😎🐻
Another video of beautiful captures. Great wildlife shots and great visro in general. Thank you, Stan! Enjoy the winter up there. A gorgeous place in the winter and every season.
Another great video
Love your videos very soothing and relaxing and also I’m learning a lot about bears and staying calm.
Thank you for sharing a very good outing.
Such a truly spiritual place. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful video, thanks for sharing.
Love the wildlife
Surprised that there isn’t more snow in Yellowstone right now.
Hello my friend, I sure enjoy your hikes and videos! 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗
I worry about those Grizzlies that are still out there roaming around. I'm afraid that their going to be too late denning up, then what will they do for food?? 🤔 I sure don't want them to die!! 😣 That would be very unacceptable!! 😣 😤 😠
My husband and I seen a momma black bear with her 3 little cubs a few years ago crossing a back street in Ilwaco Washington along the coast and boy oh boy, that was so thrilling, when I first seen them, I thought that they were dogs but, as we got closer to them (we were in a car), I seen that they were black bears and WOW, that was so incredible!
Take care my friend and keep hiking! 👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣
Don’t worry about them hibernating too late. Sometimes they will do nothing more than dig a hole in a snow bank and hibernate (according to scientists). Hunting season got over on the 27th. Maybe they are looking for the last scraps. It should be normal for some grizzlies to be out late if there is a food source. Thank you.
@@StanMills Thank you Stan for your reply to my comment, I appreciate that, I feel better now, thank you again! 🖒🖒
So you hiked this today ??
If so wow , no snow .
Be safe thankyou .the capture of the beaver was great .

@@StanMills thanks Stan . Take care .
Thank You Stan ! 😊
Thank you!
I love your videos. Please add CC Thank You
Thanks for sharing 😊
The squirrels and crows, ravens. Chatter boxes.
Seen quite a bit of Griz sign here around paradise valley as well Stan...been pretty mild I reckon.
Thanks!
I've never seen grizzly tracks, this is great.
Stan’s a Grizzly Paparazzi 😂
Be careful, Griz out late in hibernation?
Thank you, Stan. A lot of Moose. Have the bulls shed their racks at this stage in the season?
New rule of thumb: If Stan can hike without snowshoes the bears have not denned for the winter.
Kind of figured they would den up later with the lack of snow depth
It looks like the Grizzly is dragging one leg.
I didn't see a grizzly! Did I miss something. All I saw was a moose and a beaver and some wolf tracks and a bear TRACK.
No. The point of the video is to show that grizzlies are still out at this late date. I wanted to show proof of that. Thank you for your comment.
We have a little more snow. I saw tracks a couple of days ago so I put up our trail cam. Think it is a wolf. Didn't look like the coyote from last year but difficult to say. They come up at night. Nice you saw lots of wildlife and tracks.
Thanks for the beautiful scenery.
That was a muckrat, correct?
Saw two last time I was in the park after a week of looking.
Is it legal to carry a firearm for self protection while hiking in yellowstone?
Yes
The grizzlies are looking for a good human meal before hibernating 😂
Sounds kind of icy like it’s warm during the day.
Wonderful video as usual. Looks so peaceful and quite there this time of year. Given how much you hike there, have you ever seen any unusual tracks, or strange sightings of something like a bigfoot, in Yellowstone Park or surrounding areas?
Yes
Are there trout in the rivers and lakes of the park?"
Here is a video that may help a little. Thanks ruclips.net/video/zGWZ_OzMjgI/видео.htmlsi=0CgfjzCAQGkLF-pD
Can someone point me to his vid where Stan shows the abandoned wolf enclosures? It’s my fav and I cannot remember which vid it was.
Thad, I am looking for it but can't remember either. Was it a winter video with snow or a summer video?
@@StanMills Believe it was cool but before snow season. I’ve been going back through the vids for weeks. I’m thinking it was an hour long. Believe after the enclosure, you were in a thick baren tree area “off trail”. I’ve been scouring for this vid. I love them all, but for some reason this one is my fav. Suppose because it’s a bit of modern history. Thanks for all you do.
@@StanMills OMG I FOUND IT!
Fun Yellowstone Mountaintop Day Hikes, timestamp 40 minutes. Your reply made me dig down deeper than I have been the past few weeks. Thank you Mr. Mills! (Yes I saved it, in 2 places…)
I was hiking today and remembered which video. It is this one at about 36:55 ruclips.net/video/dOiz7TqtCNk/видео.htmlsi=bStquq-w2nlBmf3g
@@StanMills I’m touched you thought of me while hiking. Thanks for all you do. I have it bookmarked now.
No empty cave for the bears... 🤔
.
Are bears dangerous this time of the bear?
Most people would say yes. My experience is that their behavior towards me is no different.
Do you do guided hikes for visitors
I don't. There are a lot of liability issues and regulations. Thanks
@@StanMills thank you Stan for your channel….very understandable that you don’t but thanks for sharing your adventures. I love your videos. My wife and I will be visiting Yellowstone and the Tetons in July. Your videos helped inspire our choice. Any suggested hikes with an easy to moderate ability level?
Grizzly can be around because they not %100 hibernation..
They’re supposed to be Snooz’in!! Get to bed thar bar!
