I bought this when it released and I will give you credit Brad . It’s powerful for sure , and unlike some toning masks and stuff - the purple color doesn’t stain and it genuinely tones perfectly … and conditions so nice.

I have always loved seeing older ladies with pale purple, pink, or blue tones in their hair. Much less common now than when I was a little kid in the 80s.
Oh my hairdresser leaves mine on for ten mins n the blonde is absolutely gorgeous.. I much prefer the whiter blonde than a yellow brassy blonde tho but that’s just me.. the mask makes a WORLD of diff. You don't love brass. You love honey and warmth. brassiness is the result of water, air pollution, heat styling over time or a bad hair stylist who didn't lift correctly. Brassiness is obvious and just looks BAD and you know it when you see it.

I've done this myself as well. Get yourself a clarifying shampoo and wash it a couple times in the shower, it's gonna make the purple fade much faster! I literally just picked up some cheap Suave clarifying shampoo, and it worked good! Just get a good conditioner or conditioning mask for afterwards cause it's gonna make your hair pretty dry. :)
You can see the color dyed her hair a bit. What I learned Ab that lil issue... Is that if you use olaplex bonding shampoo and conditioner mixed with the color masks/shampoos and conditioners and leave it in longer... It works perfectly. A bit more gradual, but you'll never get the obvious color from the mask dying a little hue on your hair. You're welcome.... ❤😊
It doesn't matter if your hair is bleached or naturally blond. Difference is the shade. There are 4 or 5 different levels of blonde. 6 is dark blonde and 10 is pale yellow. If you are level 9 you cannot use a toner that is made for level 10 blonde hair.

@@c342thedroid2 No, that's what a toner is for. Toner after bleached hair is a must. With a toner you have a product that you can get out with a simple bleach bath. I did it myself. My hair was grey because I took too strong of a toner. Same day it was back to pale yellow bleached hair and then to a cool blonde.

Do the cuticles either being flat or raised (as is the case, in my understanding, for bleached hair) have an effect on the toner’s potential effects? From my understanding products have better, long lasting effects on bleached/damaged hair because of the raised cuticles, and that’s why on natural hair (even if naturally platinum blonde) they either aren’t as strong or don’t last as long. In the case of the toner that’s supposed to be a short term product the concern could be that on natural blond hair it doesn’t show as strong a result as in bleached hair. 🤷🏼

As long as the Product has enough pigment, there will something happen. The only difference i see is how long it last's. I saw that natural blond toned down with silver-shampoo last like 1 washing. Don't know about a real toner.
I noticed my granny lengths shampoo and toner is just like this. If i leave it between 5 and 10 minutes once a week my hair is the perfect colour and never brassy

Cosmetologist here 👋 I always say just to use them in moderation, and find one that is the color that is opposite the color you want to cancel out (blue to cancel orange, purple to cancel out yellow, and all that in between.) I often see people using one that is too blue or too purple for them, creating a muddy color. Also, always use a sulfate free shampoo because some purple/blue shampoos will strip out your Toner.
If my hair stylist told me that, I would assume they are trying to sabotage me. Using purple shampoo can prolong visits to the salon and keep your hair looking ashier for longer. She's just trying to make more money off of you by having you come in more often. That's the only thing I can think of.

So...... me and my friends tried bleaching our friends hair..... it turned out a disaster, the roots are YELLOW and we missed so many spots, what should she do?😭
Wondering about this as I have blonde hair with a lot of silver in it. The problem is the ends are golden blonde but the roots very platinum looking so when pulled up it looks weird. Would this be good to try? My hair is not colored. I’m just 50 and now it’s my blonde all mixed with the silver.
@@orcaalley2170 you dont really use it as shampoo - use it as hair dye, and brush through it. Leave it in your hair for 5 minutes then rinse, If uneven, let it return to its brassy colour before re-dying
I used the mask for 5 minutes and my hair was tangled and dry. It certainly didn't look like the hair being rinsed out in the video, smooth, silky and hydrated. Didn't do a lot for my blonde (yellow) highlights. I think I would leave on for maybe 10 minutes next time, but it did not look like the video, condition wise, as I rinsed it out. Do you put another conditioner in with the mask, because my straight hair was a rat nest while rinsing and after done rinsing. I really wanted it to look like the video. I am not giving up on this product line but something needs to change.

don’t use one in maybe the week before your appointment but otherwise the deposited color washes out just fine over time. they’re not permanent dyes lol

Yeah 10 mins looks grayish purple to me. When my hair was blonde I had to be careful not to leave it in too long. It's not always better.
