The Mechanicals Band

This fantastic live performance formed part of the 2024 PLS Conference, “Something more fidgety and various,” 50 Years of High Windows, held at the University of Hull. The Mechanicals Band play music from their album, The Righteous Jazz', inspired by the poetry of Philip Larkin, alongside other work featuring poems by Ralph Hodgson, Dorothy Parker, and Edna St. Vincent Millay.
The band consists of songwriter and lead vocalist, Wes Finch on guitar, John Parker ( ex Nizlopi) on double bass, and Ben Haines on drums.
