I have not spent under £30K on a vehicle (before retirement) for over 20 years. All cars depreciate by a lot. Tesla keep dropping the price of their new cars which immediately depreciates the second hand cars. So any car drops at about 10% a year from new. Get a 20% drop in price for a new car add in the normal 10% and wham! 30% potentially in the first year. Second hand is ok. I keep cars for over 10 years but tend to buy new or 'nearly new' which means about 100miles on the clock. That is a way to fiddle in a good discount.
I don’t know how it is in the UK Dan, but in the states, the worst part of the car processes is the dealership. If The manufacturer does not have a direct to consumer program I will not buy their car. That being said I can’t wait for the new model Y refresh in 2025.
Yep a glorified milk float for less than 50k with every possible extra that will beat pretty much anything performance wise oh and is cheap to run and has zero road tax.
@@leebarrett9581 and has zero road tax, this is just the Honeymoon period. You think the Government can just write off all that income until the end of time ? NAAA!
thats what i like , shopping round for the best deal ? sounds like a good idea to me .............. test drove the model y twin motor , was nice , bit hard on the round and dont like not having no dash to see , ended up buying skoda enyaq coupe vrs , saved 20k from new and got less than 3k on the clock, had for 4 months now and its been faultless , it has a great ride and more like a proper car inside ......... do tesla only come in white as its only colour i ever see ? i know it has the best charging network , but i am retired and never charged anywhere apart from home on octopus , in 4 months i have spent £60 on lecy ....................
I'd rather ride a bike. A little short journey from your house to your workplace is just a very small part of owning an EV, I've watched a few channels take an EV on a family holiday with a dog etc. That's more the REAL world of Ownership, LIVING with the thing, that NEW World and the push for it is riddled with flaws, a short journey from house to work isn't discovering those flaws. People are in for one massive shock as they get ''pushed and shoved'' into EV World, reality will bite back AND bite back hard. All the Utility Companies must also struggle sleeping at night, what will all the Power and Hold they'll have over people in the future, People only having One option - ELECTRIC! 🤔 MMmmmmm - Good Luck!
My boss bought a new Tesla. Incredible performance. But the interior so cheap I had to rub my eyes.
😂
Wow lost 17,000 in depreciation, I haven't spent that on cars in a life time of motoring, buy second hand keep 10 years.

@@G4RY1159well I’m very happy to be in the honeymoon period for as long as it continues, the last thing I want to do is line the government’s pockets
