- Welcome back to our channel! Last week our video showed how we cut a big hole in the side of our house! Now, we're finishing it up with installing the dog door and making it look beautiful by trimming it out. Next we have a little more to do on this project to make it functional. This dog door sits a couple feet off the ground outside so we're going to be building a deck outside next week!
Hopefully this is informative and gives you the courage to do something like this yourself too!

Waited patiently to see the dog go through!!! 🥺😁
Haha well they would have fallen if they had gone out at this point...our next video about the dog deck shows them using it!
We got a child to go through tho.
Thanks for showing how you did the inside trim and frame, mine has been untouched for 4 years and this gave me some great ideas!
I’m so glad! Thanks for watching!
Great info, just what we needed.
Glad we could help!
Hi! Thank you for this video! I have a question.. since it’s been two years since this video I was curious how it’s held up and if you ran into any issues with a draft or anything in that area?
It’s held up great and have had no issues with it whatsoever!
Why did you choose to place the door even with the outside face of the wall? Was it to keep the elements out? I am considering placing the door in the wall studs and framing out the opening to the outside
It just felt like the most secure place to put the door and be able to frame out the rest too!
Now that this has been in a year, do you feel you should have put a brick lentil in over the top of the door? Have the brick dropped or anything? Thanks. AND how many times has little man crawled out and you didn't know where he was? I would have so done it when I was a kid. LOL
Great question! There has been no shifting of the bricks so I’d say it’s still very structurally sound. Hahah funny enough, he’s never crawled out of there 🤷🏼♀️
@@olivegreyavenue Thanks for the info. I've been reading that a lentil over that short span is probably not needed, but thought I'd ask. So kiddo hasn't crawled out---that you know of. HA! Thanks again.
Hi there! I was wondering what door you bought for this project?
Here’s a link to the first video that talks all about the dog door! ruclips.net/video/EIl35AjhR_U/видео.html
What size is your freedom pet pass door?
We bought the medium size!
@@olivegreyavenue Thank you so much! we have a dachshund and english bulldog and that looks like a decent size for them.
@@maurices_garage oh I hope they love it! It keeps the elements out of the house great. I have never felt a breeze or seen water through it.
Bad ass
Thanks!
I hope your dogs play basketball and can jump really high because that door ended up so high😄
We built a ramp for them after this
This is an awful video. The music is so scratchy and loud you can't hear whats being said. A waste of time.
Thanks for watching and commenting 😊
I think it is your computer and volume button. One for the video and one on your computer. I could hear everything that was said and hardly noticed the music until I saw your comment.
