Some random Japanese guy chiming in to say that at 1:19:06 the sign with the wanted criminals says "このかおみたら110！" which means "Call 110 if you see these faces" with 110 being the equivalent of 911 in the US for calling the police. Great series btw, hoping to see more in the future =)
Edit: also, aside from that I'd say most of the JP translations and descriptions of JP culture were accurate
Edit2: The food on the grill in the igloo is mochi (rice cake), not tofu - you can't cook tofu on an open grill like that or it'll just crumble down to a gloopy mess =)
The houses/trees/shops being fully modeled is likely to help with the lighting/casting shadows in the game, that's my guess

Heres a fun fact I learned when moving furniture on my island! at 13:05, you can see some DIY recipes that look very weird because of the angle. Did you know you can actually recreate this without modding? If you did, then this will be a reminder for you:
Place any furniture that you can drop items on. I would recommend any bench since that was the item i found this fact from (and benches have 2 slots to drop items on), but you can use any furniture item of your choice. Then, you drop any item (ranging from furniture, clothing, diys, etc.) on whatever furniture you are doing it on, and rotate the furniture item with the dropped item on it. You should get a similar result that's on the screen.
I just wanted to share this because when i found this out, i was very confused about why this exists. 😅

It's such a nice trip down memory lane. Especially stuff in the beginning like the hidden natural environment that actually becomes visible when you fill the tanks enough but we didn't know that back then. Or Harv's without the marketplace. And seeing the inner workings is so much fun, I love Boundary Break for that.
