@vivienmartin225 YES, there is still a time limit on frozen foods. My point was that in the deep freezer, the food is good beyond the date on the package. Of course, proper storage is a part of that, too.
Heyyy Jazzy!! $400.00 dollars was a lot for food and tip. You could have stretched that money way further and more with a Sam's Club shopping trip or Walmart shopping trip You would have gotten way more food items and bigger quantities. If you have a Sam's Club membership or know someone who does and live near a Sam's Club or Costco or BJ's shop at these places, ESPECIALLY when you are feeding a large family size.
Man forget Walmart for groceries Especially the Great Value brand. They have recalls all of the time. Plus Walmart meats (ie ground beef) not good for you either. Saving money at the expense of your health is not worth it. Ijs

Local farmer markets if you have that in your area. You would’ve had gotten a whole watermelon for how much you paid for them watermelons in that plastic container. Local meat market you’ll save money as well. You can freeze the bagels and they can get them out freezer once they want one for the day.

Congratulations on your new home and the joy of pantry shopping. Since your family loves watermelon, you can try a whole one. Fruits in season are best, as they are fresh and cheap. You will discover what works best for your family as you practice your bulk shopping. Also, Costco has a stand-up chess freezer with drawers, which makes it easier to see your frozen food. Her total per what she showed us on Amazon total: around $330 -$350 including tax. + assuming she tipped 20% to the delivery driver it would be total $400-410 If she only tipped the base tip Amazon atomically includes ($10) her total would be anywhere from $340-$360. And if she didn’t tip at all it would just be the initial. est total. Delivery is free. Walmart: 1st Walmart does not have everything available in store so she’d have to take into account cost of gas to go to varying stores for her to pick up items Walmart doesn’t have. Let alone some of the things shown here (20pk goldfish) are $2 extra in store. Overall: in comparison, for the bulk larger pk if items she’s getting, Amazon is actually worth it.and that meat pack was $5. Good deal. The spices were all around $1 apart from the cinnamon and sazon and a few others. Other items I’d say are veeery competitively priced to Walmart. As someone else mentioned; Costco actually would be a good investment for her. 1 weekly shopping trip and you have all those snacks set.

Jazz I paid under $300 for 66 items that’s delivery and tips included from two different places so Imma go with not a good deal. I love convenience as well but I would definitely shop around your local grocery stores and compare for yourself.
Ohhh friend all you needed was some fresh shrimp with the shells on and just peel them and boil and season them. Thats your broth right there .....not beef broth and if you do you could have used either chicken or vegetable broth. But if you prefer beef go for it. And yes friend please go to the store in person just at least once to compare. The okra all you have to do is add the okra and some vinegar to a skillet and it will get that slime off. Just add a lil at a time so it wont over power the okra but still get the slime off.
That's not a lot of food for that amount. Especially when considering you have a lot of dry and freezer food, no meat, fish, etc. Or maybe things just cost more where you live. Because I can get all of those items and spend almost half of that total
not sure how far you guys are from everything but with a big family... sam's, costco, etc... the warehouse stores are going to be your friend. costco sells the bare chicken in bigger bags. the water and the ice drinks you got with this haul... i save on at costco. same with oat milk. just a thought and worth checking into. then you can really get that pantry stocked ;) oh... and the jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches the better than bouillon and seasonings, too. just thinking off the top of my head lol
Jazzy please go to Sam’s or Walmart next time, and make you a grocery list on your phone so you want over spend. Remember don’t go to the store hungry because you will pick up things you don’t need because you hungry 😊
Just a little tip when opening your snack boxes or large cellophane bags. If opening by the even flaps you can flatten and saves on paying for garbage get more in trash for price learn both mother and father had homes and paid for trash.
Sam’s Club or Costco would’ve got you way more. Sam definitely has deals on meat for larger proportion families is a good investment $400 would’ve been way more in those stores minus the tip 🤷🏾♀️
I get around 35-40 items from Bjs or Costco in bulk and it’s around 350 So for 64 items it might be ok. You’ll find a store or wholesale you’ll like and stick to it and figure out what to avoid. Good luck!! congratulations 🎉
Hey jazzy! I keep my bagels and bread in the refrigerator….im a millennial too lol trust me it keeps your bread and bagels so much fresher. Jazz I paid under $300 for 66 items that’s delivery and tips included from two different places so Imma go with not a good deal. I love convenience as well but I would definitely shop around your local grocery stores and compare for yourself.
On the roll too 200k subs
I use the yellow and orange Sazon. Yellow in my white rice to make yellow rice and orange in my meats
I’m so happy for you and your family you are glowing you go girl
YALL ARE DOING GREAT 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉MANY BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY 😊
Jazzy please go to Sam’s or Walmart next time, and make you a grocery list on your phone so you want over spend. Remember don’t go to the store hungry because you will pick up things you don’t need because you hungry 😊
Nice haul Congrats again. I use Seafood Stock and Lobster Better than Bullion in my Gumbo along with my traditional Lousiana Creole Gumbo :)
I get around 35-40 items from Bjs or Costco in bulk and it’s around 350
So for 64 items it might be ok.
When you go in to toast a bagel or make a sandwich the bread does not stay cold. Also buy yourselves a pro one stainless steel filter for your kitchen. You will save soooooo much money on water bottles . I think our filter honestly saved our wallets 💯
I get my groceries delivered by Walmart… love it cause I have back issues so physically doing the shopping is difficult at times.
No No No Hell No those that waste we will come to want
Yes older people love to pack that deep freezer to the top. We cleaned out my granny's and found food from 2004. I was done😂
Jazzy $400 for that is crazy and I’m from the bronx Ny Go to the supermarket next time 💪🏾‼️
Lmfaoo im a Millennials and I Stock up on Can goods and meat deals. Definitely not for a year but tops 4 months depending on what it is.
Next time try the Walmart brand bagels 🥯 they’re pretty good
You just have to learn what to buy about the inspiring bread and what not you have to learn what to buy and what not to buy and sometimes learn how to store some of the things
So happy for you 😊❤️
I really agree with most . Walmart or Sam”s club . My kids now adults I shop at these two stores for them from birth until 18. I still shop at Walmart. Now when I’m lightly shopping. It’s Kroger or Publix.
I have to get the containers to store food in the fridge for organizing purposes
I can’t wait to move in a house with a pantry so I can organize everything
You inspire me I tell my man about you guys all the time
Thanks love ❤️
I like my food fresh too. I don’t freeze meat. I buy it as I use it. I don’t shop like our elders
You need to go to Sam’s Club or Costco‘s🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Agreed
You could do a walmart delivery. You shop online and walmart delivery the groceries to your door.
