Was very cool to hear your experiences from NYC, I hope you guys visit again sometime soon. (Sorry I know this comment is very late but I just found your channel/videos a week ago from researching Leica Q2 videos LOL)
Tobis, I love the style of your videos and reviews (both cameras, cities/countries and food) and the personal perspective that make them very approachable. Keep it up.
The Compagnon element line really is fantastic. I got the Sling 15 and it is so versatile. Surprised not many people are talking about them. With regards to the Leica, I’m still deciding whether to “upgrade” like you from an X100V. These videos are very helpful. Thank you.
I absolutely love the Compagnon Element. By far the most comfortable, versatile and rugged camera backpack I ever had. Would buy it again in an instant. As for upgrading from the V to the Q2, its complicated. I still own the V and can't really bring myself to sell it since I love it so much. With that being said, it has been collecting dust on a shelf since I got the Q2. I plan on making a seperate video about wheather or not this was a worthwhile upgrade and worth the money in the next couple of weeks. Hope that might help you and others in making the right decision. ;)
Fantastic. Thanks for the update. I still remember taking the x100s as my only camera on a trip and it was fantastic to use. Having one camera felt great. But unlike yourself I am not much a video person but the Sony sounds like a great option for lightweight videos and vlogs. Not to say every situation you can get away with one lens. Like a safari for example. But it is amazing how much is possible when you aren't weighed down.
Nice video and thanks for the food guide, always essential.. One thing though minor as it is, there is no IBIS on the Q2 which I have owned since 2019, but the lens has OIS. Looking forward for more vids using this camera, thanks.
Love the channel, would you consider using the Q2 monochrom in a future video, I am very seriously considering this camera, which would take me considerable time to save for.
Wonderful videos and one of the influences on me finally "pulling the trigger" and getting a Q2. Question: Love your brown strap which looks fantastic with the black Leica. What is the brand? Thank you in advance for your time with this question.
Fun video, Tobis! I’m glad you had a good experience in NY, and next time I’m there I have to try your food recommendations for sure. Question: what was the brown back with the roll top you were using? Thanks!
Nice video lovely camera & I'd love to see NY one day. For cityscapes I normally need something a lot wider and I adore the Pana "Leica" 8-18 on M43 format equiv to 16-36mm on full frame.
Will do, probably in the near future. I am however at a point right now where I got my EDC gear so dialed in (for my needs) that barely anything changes. I try out new stuff every now and then but always seem to go back to the same gear. But still, new video about my current EDC setup coming soon. ;)
Thank you Tobis for sharing your videos. I do like hem very much. As 1 X100v user I am interested in buying a Leica Q2. I wonder if you can elaborate on your learning curve in using a leica Q2. What do you notice in using the Leica ? What did you change to improve your photo's ? Is is the field of view ? Is it to manage distortion ? Or working with a shallower dept of view ? Something else ? Please share your experiences with us.
I am planning to make a video about my thoughts on weather or not the Leica Q2 was worth the upgrade for me and I will talk about my process of getting used to the Leica over time. That video should be out within the next few weeks. For now I am just about to release the second part of this video which is about my time in Iceland and my experience and the shots that I got using the Q2 (just FYI).
Hi, Taking mine to New York this year and then on to Utah and Pacific coast. I am a nothing but an experienced amateur but like you concerned about just taking this camera. Did you feel limited in Iceland when doing landscape. I am wondering if I need something like an Rx100 just in case….
I visited Summit 1 with my SL2/24 mm Summilux. It was fun. Did you have your picture taken while standing on the glass floor at 1100 feet above street level?
@@Jabber-ig3iw you didn’t hear about the mass shooting in the subway? Or the car jacking so in the middle of the day. The attacks on the elderly Asians?
Happy belated birthday to you, Tobis. Great video as usual.
Thanks man!! :)

I sold all of my Fujifilm bodies and lenses (including the X100V) to purchase the Q2. I have no regrets!
This is perfect! I am headed to NY at the end of next month! WOOHOO! AND with my Leica Q2 also! WOOHOO!!!
This was such a nice video. I really wish more people were like this on RUclips
Probably the nicest comment I got in a long time. Thanks!

I also go the Q2 in 2020. It’s really a great camera for street photo.
Greeting from NYC and thanks for your Q2 impressions.
It's interesting to see the scenery of New York!

Let’s have a EDC video again… miss them. Your videos made me realized I was an EDC person.

I bought my Q2 end of 2019 for a NYC trip in 2020. The trip never happened. Hopefully I can finally go this year.
Interesting!
Another great video Tobis!
Do You usually shoot in AF or manual focus with the Q2? If so, why do You choose to do that?
Keep up your good work 👌👍🔝📸

Hi there, nice video! Quick question. Do you use AWB for all the unedited pictures in this video? Thanks.
I love your pictures. start following your instagram.
Great video! Brand of the Q2 strap that you are using?
Great video! Are you planning to review the Millican bag?
Thanks! And yes I will definately make some sort of loadout/review about this bag.
great. can you do more with the q2 please
Thanks! And absolutely, will do. Got a couple of trips lined up and videos that I want to shoot about using the Q2. I am addicted to this camera.

Di you feel like want ultra wide to cover whole tourist soot scene in one photo and 28mm only is not wire enough?
Bruno carrelli?? 😮😍📸
I visited Summit 1 with my SL2/24 mm Summilux. It was fun. Did you have your picture taken while standing on the glass floor at 1100 feet above street level?
I actually didn't... there was a huge line so we chose to rather enjoy the views. Would have been interesting to stend there though.
So nice
Thanks!
Why fuji camera tend to have a more shadowy look?
What backpack is that! I need it! I need it now!
Beige one is the "Element" by Compagnon, the green one is "Smith the Rolltop 25L" by Millican. Which one are you looking for?
Thank you for your non-review review 📷
I think you’re more of a camera collector than a photographer. At least these shots were so mundane.
Whats the backpack brand, you are wearing
I want to know too. He should include the backpacks/bags in his list of gears.
Your brave walking the streets of NY with expensive cameras!
We had a couple of dodgy situations especially riding the subway at night. Being able to pack the camera away quickly was definately an advantage.
@@TobisTings you are brave taking the subway at night. I’m glad you didn’t run into to much problems. NYC is an experience.
Has NY got worse? Was there in 2004 and had no issues at all walking around at night.

The only reason to put “in 2022” in the title is if the camera is no longer the current model.
What's your day job?
Damn. Just a hobby and you spent that much on camera gear? There are a lot of pro photographers with less
