- Our Avatars feature is essential to many VR content creators. In this video, we're going to show you how to use our Avatars feature of the LIV application. Going from Getting your Avatar, to explaining each sub section within the Avatar menus, to adding it to your OBS scenes.

This was so informative and helpful. Been using the wrong camera, that's why I can't get rid of the black cropping in my LIV output window when I record on OBS. Camera 2 is what I need to use. Was trying to give a presentation in VR without a game....LIV suddenly didn't wanna act right. Thanks for the help!

I used LIV for a Phasmophobia stream, but much like many, used Camera 1 instead of 2 when I was frantically looking for a way to just have my Avatar. Thank ya for that one!
The other thing is, is there anything suggested to make the games themselves run smoother, or not have a super framey viewing experience when streaming through Discord if I just wanna chill with buddies?

Great tutorial, one question, can Kinect be used as a motion sensor combined with the viewer?
You would need a Third Party Software to make it work. There are a few in existence but we’re unsure of the names except for one called Driver4VR. Best of luck creator!

im using a mata 2 and i see the liv icon and all that but when i launch beat saber it goes away
How do you open the menu? Because I don’t see a steam button on my controller
As I can't find any information on that: Is it possible to trigger any kind of set up expressions/blendshapes with LIV?
(Idk, like an option that allows effect toggles or something)

Unfortunately no, no triggerable blendshapes/expressions at this time unfortunately! We do support the Vive facial tracker however.

I cant drag and drop the file.
I added manually the file in the avatar folder, but its now showing in the menu
Mine did show up without a picture so I almost missed it. Maybe you just didn't see it.
Are you sure you took the avatar file and neither the vrm, png or anything other than avatar?
It could also be that your avatar is not in the right format (?). Try it with different avatars.

my vrm won't show up.. what do i do?
You can manually add the avatar to LIV by throwing the file into My Documents/LIV/Avatars
Ive added mine this way but in the app in VR I see a blank option in the avatar selection screen. also when I tried dragging and dropping it said soemthing isnt right and something about a dictionary? I need help@@liv
anyone know of a less anime avatar creator?
