I still carry around the pocket compass my grandpa gave me on his death bed and I treasure the words he had engraved on it. "You'll never be lost as long as you've got family." My grandpa was and still is one of my personal heroes, and the compass he gave me on that day has helped me so many times.

I hadn't even heard of this show until last night and had no idea what people thought of it and I decided to check it out because I was curious. I've enjoyed what I saw so far and I feel like this is a cartoon I can follow regularly. Anyone else agree that this cartoon is already pretty cool?

Yeah. It's not just Eda. Many characters in The Owl House don't have best first impression like her: 1. Amity, who is a bully on the first glance, turned out to be a kind person inside brainwashed by the maniac she shouldn't call mother 2. Camilla is able to relate with her daughter Luz more than we expected to be because they're not so different. Both wanted to be understood yet circumstances and people who either failed or too mess up to understand the two don't make things easy for them 3. Vee's reason to impersonate Luz turns out because she wanted to live a better life than Emperor's Coven's guinea pig but her approach led to a misunderstanding between her and Noceda family. My summary above might not as accurate but, yeah.

Well let's hope Luz will not destroy magic and kill multiple peaple in the multiverse by doing so in a super rushed and anti climactic way, I mean that will be weird, right?

When I started watching TOH for the first time, I thought Eda was an antagonistic character. (I'd never seen any posters or watched the trailer, when I started watching, S2A was just ended and the show was on hiatus.)
Funnily enough, that was the original concept for the show. The show was originally about a girl who ended up in a hellish afterlife and ends up getting taken in by Eda but, Dana had to change the concept since Disney thought it was too dark. Think it's better this way though.

But the Boiling Isles as we have it now makes for more story and world building potential.
