Now that we've seen the realm between realms, it must mean that the Titan that Luz saw must've been watching her and showed her how to make the Light Spell
I think she'd be good with light based magic, cause her name is "Luz" which just means "light" in spanish. Or even protection spells! Can't wait to see more!
@@10Tabris01 Well there's a comic where Lilith made a glyph combo, connecting light and plant glyphs to make a healing spell, and I wondered, does it work on the dead?
*_Theory:_* The light was literally made from writing on a page. Well, in "Lost in Language" a celestial event literally caused the writing in books to come to life, so what if the mechanics for both magical processes were the same? What if the magic of the Boiling Isles comes from the realm of storytelling and the fabric of the setting is literally made up of clashing ideas from various fictional works? That's why the page transforms into light. The material isn't changing, just the idea that determines its form. It's being swapped out from "paper" to "light".
@@angelbabydragon Thats a good theory, but I just thought of it being wirt from over the garden wall because both shows are cartoons and can share some similar features.

My theory is that when she performs it, a small fraction of her energy is expended and/or the thing she wrote it on is disintegrated to account for the used up magic. Like how in Full Metal Alchemist there are trade offs. It’s also funny to think about that if the whatever she wrote on disappears is true, then the whole wall just disappears.
I’ve been looking for an explanation as to why she’s able to do this without a magic sack. Does anyone know how? Or is this just the way witches used to do magic? Kinda like how in adventure time, you draw a face, cover it in big milk, and say an incantation to summon Hudson Abideer. My theory, or explanation for now is that that’s just the way witches did magic back then, the classic drawing circles to do different things, I’m sure she’s gonna learn how to do the green plant one Willow did as well, shell just have to memorize the spell circle drawing I just don’t know why it showed up on the broken phone, and not in it before or in real life. I’m sure we’ll get answers soon
I believe magic comes from convert matter into magic But because the witch folk on the isles have the bile close to the heart, they just use the material inside the bile without the need of the symbol Thats why Eda didnt teach Luz about the inside symbol, she didnt know about bacause she does magic just with the circle, while humans need the conversion symbol inside the circle to fully convert matter into magic
Guilherme Fernandes Dias Canalli that makes sense, but I still think my thing plays into your thing, you need to memorize all the little symbols to make it work!
How tf did her phone break from like a 40 cm height. What kind if phone company are you buying from luz??? And how the hell did a glyph apear when the phone glitched. Wtf
One of two options, either it only shows up for a split second and the phone just happened to glitch out on the single frame where it was visible, or the will of the Titan itself was deliberately showing it to her. Personally, I'm leaning more towards the latter option given what we learn in "Elsewhere and Elsewhen".
Theory: So in the real world, humans can’t do magic right? Yes, Luz was taught... But... We don’t know her dad, right? My theory is that her dad is a wizard, he either lives in the boiling isle, or he’s dead, and it was by fair chance that she found the Boiling Isles! Sooooo,....maybe he figured out a way to transfer to the human world, had a baby, and the baby inherited some magic from him!

Wait, if you have a book filled with glyphs and you have it during Wailing Star, does that mean all the glyphs will activate?
Btw Luz in spanish means light... so yeah the first spell was kinda foreshadowed by her name.
I never knew her name meant light until it did

Watching this now that toh has a comfortable art style makes this animation look so much different
