I completely forgot to mention that I'm glad someone else makes use of Erosions wide-noise effect. I really like adding it to snares for some nice wide noise!
Yep. Erosion is really good for noise like that. Also lost your other reply somewhere, but I've tried Tree Tone and it's really good for ambient genres, too.
Very easy and straight to the point tutorial, and with great results too. Most of the tutorials around this genre are mainly FL based so it is great to see what is possible within Ableton (and with mostly stock plugins). We love you track so much that we have included it in our Dark Dreamscapes playlist. Much love from the Netherlands and keep it up.
The format of your videos is great. I like the way you show and tell. There isn't a lot of extra fluff. You get to the point of why we are all here and drop the knowledge.
I have a better understanding of Abelton the more I dig into it I have dive into the world of sound design yet because I like to find the sounds that there out of the box but still got value from this👊🏾 happy new year also
I'm extremely impressed by your deep knowledge and technique. I love your approach, building everything from the ground up. I hope to gain even a little bit of your ability this year, thanks for making videos. :)
Amazing track! Simple but effective approach although there're lot little details hidden worthy to learn and steal))) Wish you stay safe and creative next year! Happy New Year!
Your creative use of the apps is nice to watch. I like that you used the auto-pan to automate the volume of the pad; quite clever. What does liminal mean
Thanks so much! In this context, I take liminal to mean a threshold between different states…so maybe something familiar or nostalgic that can also be somewhat strange or unsettling.
@@khartbeats Wow; learn something new every day. I can't remember if I ever commented before--probably, but did you try the Tree Tone instrument. I reckon it would be right up your ally for slow, ambient music.
Hi K. Hope you had a great Christmas!! I absolutely love watching you do this type of thing. I don't use Ableton myself but have seen enough YT videos to be able to follow it quite well. I have to admit that I giggle at some of the vintage references these days. I AM VINTAGE lol and yet I don't ever remember music in the old days being so dirty, crunchy or otherwise grainy. I wonder where that comes from in todays music? I just don't remember music being skippy and crackly. hehe. Do you think it's just today's idea of vintage was?
Hey, thanks! I had a good Christmas and hope you did, too. I think maybe some of the “vintage” vibe is a little exaggerated these days. I guess it’s a way to make modern music that’s produced solely from a computer a lot of the time seem more humanized and “real.” Just like adding small imperfections in drum timing can create what we consider swing or groove 🙂
@@khartbeatswhat you do already is really great! At this point you could just start with bundling what you have and then keep progressing through genres.
Thank you for the nice Video and Information with Ableton 12. I love ambient scapes and your work. I'm already looking forward to more videos with you. best regards from germany (Maps: N 54.32871, E 13.07711) 😊
That last part with the vocal stretch is so simple but so good for creating atmospheres. Hoping 2025 brings you the success you deserve!
Thank you so much! The vocal stretching is one of my favorites for background atmosphere.

Really nice work! Lovely melodic ambiance and cool production choices, especially in the noisier, lo-fi space.
Thank you very much 😊

Nice 🪐 ✨🌠
Thank you so much! 🙂
Loved the vocal ideas. Thank you. 10cc took months to produce this on "I'm not in love" using multi track tape. Happy New Year!
Modern production saves a lot of time. Those vocals on the 10cc track sound magnificent, though. Thanks so much and happy new year!

I think at some point, I’d love to see you make an Ableton course. ❤
Also I downloaded the project and it did not come with the vocal....
I've been debating making a course. What kind of content would you like to see?
Hmm, I collected all and saved and I see it in the included files...I can try to send the project to you again via email and see if that works?
@@khartbeatsthe download for some reason was just the als with no sample folder.

hello, K! Love your videos and content, just wanted to ask if there is any chance to sample this? Or do you have any loop packs available?
Thanks so much! I don't have any loop packs, but you can get the project file for this one if you'd like. Link is here: ko-fi.com/s/0f693e0481
Thank you! I am not stretching it by saying your sample/loop packs would sell like hot cakes! 🔥
real!.
I was thinking, "Yeah, I'm learning..", and then the Transient Shaper..whoa..
Gamechanger...
thank you for sharing the things you know , you won the 2025 ableton rainbow award 🌈🏅 !!!!!!
Nice! Thank you! 😊
Great tutorial... but I'm stuck in the poolrooms now. Send help :'(
Not the poolrooms... some serious nightmares live there.
Great stuff. Have you done an Ambient dub techno video before? If not, please consider this a request :) Have a great New Year!
Thanks so much! Haven’t done ambient dub techno before…I’ll look into it 😁 Happy New Year!
@@khartbeats Thank you very much! Hopefully it's a genre that would interest you 🙂

This is so cool and I was trying to follow along until i realized wavetable isn't in standard 😞Fantastic track though 🙂
If you have a different Wavetable synth like Serum or Vital (free), you should be able to make a very similar sound. Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you. I love your stuff. I've learned a lot from you this year! Gave you a shout out on my new channel.
That's awesome! Thank you so much for that 🙂
