Clorindes skill and ult is nice but she doesn't have the basic attacks to compliment that while xiangli yao's basic attacks, skill, and liberation all look well worked on. not to mention yao might be a free character so that's a bonus.
NONE of Genshin character have Basic attacks compliment look at how weak physical character in genshin they're suffering because of how the combat system work, basically just spam skill and ult in rotation no parry no dodge no counter attack, players only need meta team/pulling power creep character to pass content in genshin while wuwa all you need is built 4 star characters to pass any content, if not you got skill issues. perfect dodge take no damage

Objectively speaking about the gameplay, it is better than most of the GI characters. Of course, only fans who only evaluate subjectively will say "no".

Raiden and cynos are better but they're limited 5 stars...not to mention Raiden is like the soul of the game shes a very fan favorite char(I found genshin because of seeing a Raiden art somewhere) and cyno is just cyno..no shit he would have good m1 animations when his whole kit is centered around it
I think both have their strengths here. Clorinde is great because of Musketeer aesthetics and classic sword style while Xiangli Yao is awesome because of his enigmatic theme based off Court of Savantae and his use of mechanical arm. I'd say it's a draw.
Not gonna lie basic attack on most hoyo characters is useless they can remove their basic attack and just add E and Q
excluding navia and maybe clorinde, top 10 dps rely on that basic attack, 80% of their dmg is from that

Okay, direct comparisons are actually painful. Like if you only see Genshin it's like, yeah, it's fine, it's cool, whatever. And with the direct comparison... yeah, you know what those animations actually look pretty cheap lol The ult is cool, but it's actually one of the best in the entire game, so sadly that is not the norm either.

By my standards WuWa looks fine, but Xiangli is on the weaker side. If anything Genshin should have the advantage in this comparison.

But In wuthering waves, playing like 21 hours got me two 5* characters and a weapon 5*

idk, I personally liked wuwa's more. I know that it was rushed and didn't really have any build up but I liked it a lot. It had a sense of scale and the cutscenes were really good, the premise was really interesting too. Gi's was kinda... fine ik it takes time to ramp up the story and act one of many stories are slow, but comparing to wuwa's act one, it's a big BIG difference.

Idk man, comparing these two games on the combat aspect doesn't seem appropriate, since Wuwa focuses on a more messy style combat than a casual one like genshin. Personally its more close to PGR or Honkai Impact combat.

XY's team with Yinlin will be second strongest after Jinhsi + Zhezhi because Yinlin is broken and he will be perfect for her and inherently is a good character based off current kit.

You know, I think Genshin devs are trying to add more to the gameplay but the players just don't bite 😂
What I mean is, Clorine looks good, her damage is nuts, her ultimate is cinematic AF and more, sadly the way she was made doesn't harmonize with the way people are using her IMO, as we all have seen already, every single one of Clorine "Showcase" videos at C6 have her become a turret after the whole team buffs her, the enemy and the whole area 😂 but if you see her skill, it feels like it was intended to be used like you're attacking and dodging, you know, zipping here and there while ditching numbers, like Lightning Bianca from PGR when she enters her passive stance, meanwhile she is just a stationary turret because either the boss dies instantly or there is not need to move since the boss isn't doing anything 😅 it kinda removes points from her gameplay IMO
Devs should buff bosses instead of trying to add characters with more complexity first.
