I don't believe that "mama" was a word, it felt more like a desperate groan. Since Isha is mute, she couldn't rely on words to comunicate with the characters and us. And that's another beautiful thing about her character, everytime she was on screen, her actions spoke louder than her words and that was enough to let us hooked and emotional when she sacrificed herself to save everyone from Warnick.
actually mute people can do little sounds and in this case she said "mama" , btw i agree with you ,her actions speak to us. She didn't deserve to die but she died as a hero

I saw a vid on the channel named "Screen Crush" where it described that Jinx was raising a mini Vi (Isha) becuase Isha is so much like Vi in many aspects. Confident, independent, Isha seems to punch first ask questions later like at the Rally at Vander's statue. Isha is even self sacrificing like Vi did in season 1. It's interesting what that one persons opinion was and I agree mostly. Not that I think Jinx was raising Isha to be a mini Vi on purpose but more so Isha is like the perfect blend of Vi and Jinx's performances

I had a friend in elementary school that didn't speak. She was capable of it, even spoke to me once, she just didn't do it. Maybe it's a similar case
