    • @josteinleirgulen1040

      ethanol 96 Where are you getting that statistic? Wikipedia has Norway as number 102: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_suicide_rate
      Ed Denoy, the story of Anders Breivik is very important, but im curious why you felt the need to bring that up on this video. You must be fun at parties ^^

    • @josteinleirgulen1040
      @josteinleirgulen1040 7 лет назад

      I looked at that statistic to, but its only for OECD countries, thereby leaving out a large portion of the entire world. Kazakhstan, for example, is not on that list and it has a suicide rate of 27.5 per 100 000 people, for both sexes (WHO statistic: apps.who.int/gho/data/node.main.MHSUICIDEASDR?lang=en). The WP statistic is also from 2005, which is old.

      Becauuuuse......the video is about the happiest place in the world .It makes Norway sound like Disneyland. There are always some VERY unhappy people everyplace. Even in this cold "paradise". I'll bet you are the type that sets fire to your own farts at parties,right ?

      Trusting each other, more equality and closeness to nature may be summarized as the main reasons for Norway's high happiness index. May Norway continue in its great path and best wishes from India.
      On another note: The quest for happiness may create tension/ unhappiness. We are also prone to become unhappy for being unhappy.

    This video seems to focus a lot on nature, but the real reasons for a happy population in Norway are not very complicated: Tax the rich appropriately and fairly, pay everyone a comfortable living wage on one 40hour pr week job, free health care, as little religion as possible. The end.

    • @Zelielz1

      I think facts matter more than feelings. One can feel that they have long old history, but at the end it's about the present. Is the present of Ethiopia worth such pride? A lot of people say Americans have no history. But they achieved far more in their 2 century worth of history compared to any other nations.
      When people go so far back in history to feel proud, they are not usually proud of the present.

      It is because the system is made to give everybody the possibility to fulfill their dreams. So if you are poor you can go to university (if you are smart enough) it is free. If you want to live in the forest you can do that, because the law says that the land belongs to all people. Those freedoms make people more productive too. If you think all of this is bad that is your right. We think it is good.

    Ekhm, at the same time, Norway is on the 74th place on the suicide ranking country. Is is really bad? Well, could have been better. I've been living in Norway for over a year and I can tell you that Norwegians are not as happy as the video portrays. These days as the country develops even more under the weave of new immigrants from all over the world, it is also possible to feel that people have it more and more stressed and more is demanded of people on daily basis. Other countries in Europe have started experiencing it around 15-20 years ago and Norway is catching up now. The era of globalization, narcissism and everyone who want everything done by now plays a huge role, but.. We've created it ourselves and there's no turning back.

    Is the Barnevernet still kidnapping kids in Norway?

      Only when the parents mistreat their kids. Violence, abuse or serious neglect are things our country believes children should be protected from. It’s not love when you scare your own child into submission
