Huge shoutout to Simon for being an AWESOME guest! It was fantastic to hear his perspective on Magic, and the behind the scenes stories were delightful! I just noticed that I cut the Three Bowls of Porridge and it didn't register as a cut, which is why we were both mildly confused when we still had to remove one more card! The Three Bowls of Porridge then got randomly added back into the deck without me doing anything! I guess the Magic Gods really wanted me to try the card!
The side boarding out basic lands for basic lands is genius. Def going to do that next competition. Great chatting with you in Vegas Nicolai. Thanks again for all your awesome content. These guest spots are awesome. Such wide variety of play patterns to explore when copiloting drafts!
It was fun to run the draft and get insights on how he thinks. Northerners are much more practical than we southern Europeans... really cool and hard pool (imo) best wishes
Congratz on the undefeated run! I had my first and only undefeated run this format with a Faerie deck, loved that one. However, I find that there's a huge amount of variance in this format once more (the very thing I hated about All Will Be One draft), and some of my decks haven't performed nearly as well (or badly) as expected. This one looked great, though.
Great content! I have to say, watching you attack in the final game with Savior of the Sleeping into Barrow Naughty #2 and Fell Horseman was painful. You could have just played your plains and exiled Naughty #1, dropping Cooped Up into the gy and pumping your savior. That savior could have become a huge vigilant problem for the opponent, trading it for the hill giant was tragic. This also meant giving up a bunch of Naughty lifelink and wasting Guard Change which could have been used later for a future blowout and to grow the savior further.

Not me thinking I was literally having a stroke when you drew the bowls of porridge in game 😅
I wondered about that

Great draft! At 40:45 you can always activate to exile the crasher and with the ability on the stack bargain the aura.
Love the guest drafts! Make more of them, please 🙏🏻
That was awesome nicolai, great energy, and interesting questions you asked Simon! Keep these coming!
