Great video! Great to see our Swiss Hornets in England. Great long-term partnership! My father was in the Swiss Air Force surveillance squadron for over 35 years, every time he came home from twilight and night flights from England he raved about this beautiful country and the people. Thank you RAF Leeming!
What a nice reply! I'm not RAF but I appreciate you comments. The closest I've ever been to Sweden is repairing Saab 900 turbos 😂. Got to see a vigen close up in the cadet days which was impressive. 🇨🇭🏴

Was on the A1M heading south as 2 of them were on approach to Leeming . I was expecting Hawks but delighted to see Hornets.
Been watching these guys returning at about 1530 over the last few weeks while walking the dog.

Good to see the legacy hornets still flying and it looks brand new from the mid-80"s , Miss my time with them in the US Navy VFA-131 Wildcats Ordnanceman 84/88 !

Great video of my old airfield during my F3 tour when Sqns 11, 23 and 25 were there. None of those trees were there then, very surprised they are there now, just increases the chances of bird strikes on finals. Great video, brings back memories. Great nights in the mess, frequent visits by USAF F1-11 etc.

Doesn't matter. The Swiss will never get involved in any war. Way too much money from countries and people from countries in those banks. They can't risk it by getting involved in any kind of conflict. So no idea why they even have an air force.
All hornets have the launch bar on the nose gear. It’s just part of the design

Swiss a country that do not need air fighter..Banks, insurance companies, banking recycling all kind of traffic (arms, drugs, gold, raw materials) are its best defense systems. After years Swiss decided to replace its aging fleet by F-35 no less and adding american made defensive system (Patriot).
THE ONLY time Swiss was using its air force was in 1940 when the country stopped Germany to fly over to bomb France. After the manufacturing industry supplied arms to the last day for Germany, paid by gold, art treasures stolen from the countries occupied by Germany.
Swiss rejected the Saab (too expensive..) and went for the most expensive fighter in the world after rejecting the Rafale.
Corruption is everywhere in Switzerland under a thick blanket of silence and hypocrisy.
Basically Swiss has no place for training and is using France and Germany air space (with mutual understanding).
