As much as I might have preferred 2nd place performance- a bit easier on the eye- this was by far more creative and complex so I'm not surprised they won. We have to remember it's a dance competition, where being good is a prerequisite, so these guys pushed boundaries and I would say, again, I prefer second place, but these guys are deserved winners of the competition.
+T. Revv at first i was like the company should have won ..but then i saw the shadow choreo and i was like .. "holy mother of..." AOV are deserving definitely
i feel like it's chaotic-ness made it hard to appreciate. i just saw a lot of spastic movements. definitely preferred The Company's second place performance.
i prefer the style of 'the company's' performance but i understand completely why the judges picked these guys.. i would have too. You can't argue with the sheer content and scale of creativity in this performance even if you prefer the style of 'the company'. Unbelievable talent all round.
We can't forget the complexity. They had way more difficulty than the company. And timings were as perfect as theirs. Just it wasn't sharpen and that's a style which it doesnt go into judge.
OMG THAT END !!!!! I just saw the company before... and when I start this video.. I'm like : why they win?... The End comes and I'm like : OK I understand now !! SO SICK !
Have you watched America's Got Talent the last few years?? Sooooo many people have done the shadow story thing. It's not new but they banked on a bunch of people being clueless about it. I guess their gamble paid off. But it's not unique and I kind of feel like it was stolen. Without that part they would have never been in 1st place because their execution was bad. They were all over the place trying to do a 101 different stunts.
wow that just blew my mind! Pharside on behalf of the east coast and all street dancers we are super proud of you and your team.. Continue to push that bar!
Are you kidding me?!!! They deserve #1! The creativity! They are true entertainers I love the theatre! I tapped my screen half way through just to make sure it wasn't almost over and then was blown away during they lyrical-ish Evanesence bit. I loved it. Bravo!!
What's up with all the haters? The Academy won because their performance transcended dance alon. They absolutely should have taken 1st. The Company brought nothing new or special in terms of dance, the only thing that makes them significant is the precision of their dance. Skill wise, they were pretty standard.
I think these guys won because they took risks and a clever use of props. 2nd place, was much cleaner with sharper movements. If it's strictly dance, The Company should have taken 1st place. But add in creativity and technical difficulty, these guys defo take the cake. But I'm an engineer, what do I know about dance, I can only look at things objectively.
Man, just when I thought it would take forever that there would be a new Vibe dance competition, here it is, in all its choreographed glory with some new killer sets! ...oh my god AOV was tight and amazing to watch once again! I can't wait to see more! Let's see if other crews has made major progress ;)
Exactly how many of you people are actually dancers? If you're not a dancer then you really can't judge a dance competition where there are various factors when it comes to judging a performance. You are all titled to your opinions as to who y'all wanted to win, but at the end of the the judges selected were selected for a reason and they called it how they saw it as to who was the better crew. I was blown away by both Academy Of Villains and The Company. I honestly wouldn't know who I would have picked to win out of these two amazing crews but that's why we have officials who know how to decide who was better. Just keep supporting y'alls favorite crews and showing them love, because they do this for their fans.
One, you don't have to be a world class chef to tell if a dish is shitty or not so what's the difference here? Two, you don't have to be some dance enthusiast to tell that The Company was more strong and consistent through the entire performance and the Academy of Villains were the strongest at the end.
Hunter21Down And what made The Company more strong and consistent? The fact that they had easier choreography so their movements and unison were cleaner? Obviously you have to be "some dance enthusiast" to know that competitions, judges are looking for harder choreo, sure it might be a little sloppy or not all in sync, but judges want routines that push boundaries as well as entertain. Academy of Villains did just that and is why they came in first.
Yea the company was just very well put together. And I’m positive if their was a poll for people in these comments, the company would for-sure take first. And in my books they did
everyone likes the company, but the fact is AOV placed levels more complexity in their dance while still maintaining comparable technical prowess. The company's was cleaner, simpler, and technically amazing but AOV wins because they applied greater complexity over the entire stage
Yeah, AOV was complex but at what cost? There where too many elements. Sure, the strings and shadow dancing were good but apart from that, the dancing was underwhelming and at times sloppy. The Company was sleek, together and raw R&B/Hip Hop dancing; it didn't need to rely on flashing lights or busy costumes. Those elements work for different settings like a ballet in an opera, but even in those situations, the dancers are far better and pay more attention to detail. AOV was good, but not 1st Place good.
Candice Philips Wouldn't say AOV was good they weren't really good to me at all. but, I agree with everything else. The company is amazing, they're the real dancers. AOV just put on a play. If you're going to dance in a competition then dance, don't do anything else.
Melanie Christine Um Melanie you sound so dumb calling the Company "real dancers!" as if AOV is not one the most sought after teams for alot of events. AOV put on an amazing show, and the Company's might have been cleaner but to be honest it was boring and they used songs that are overplayed, it was bleh because we have seen just as clean dancing and some boring concept from other groups to the same music, but if you want to be first, push the boundaries. And the fact that you said then dance, don't do anything else, shows you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about when it comes to performing arts
First off youu have no right to call me dumb. I actually know about performing arts because I have 2 younger sisters who did dance and who is in dance. Youu may or may not know about performing arts and I don't know that but youu don't know me to call me don't. So you're the ignorant one here. Yes they put on a show but the dancing in my opinion wasn't as great for 1st place and I never said they were horrible. Yes The Company did perform with over played songs but this was a dance competition. It wasn't about the music. Yes music counts it's very important. That's why they were placed 2nd I suppose. So you're opinion does not mater to me :) @kennyanderson
I think this is better. The choreo was complex from the start, and creative at the end. The Company was amazingly systematic, but actually a bit simpler from start to end.
Wow...I've watched both the 1st&2nd position performances. & I think this guys deserves the 1st place. Why because dey've gat most mixed creativity in it...and that's what gave them the upper hand...simply brilliant!!!!
To all you guys saying they bit Attraction from Britain's got Talent. THEY WEREN'T THE FIRST ONES TO DO IT EITHER. Shadow theater has been here for more than a thousand years starting in China going all across the globe. AOV was just the first to do it in a DANCE competition and they did it well. GREAT JOB TO AOV. Don't listen to the haters that don't know what they're talking about.
This is true....but face paint and gloves can be done by any other group as well. But AOV seems to bitch at anybody that does so since they want to be the only ones wearing make up. Let's not forget that they also bit Culture Shock and 323 when using the "puppet string". Creative....but not original. If AOV wants to bitch to others about using concepts that they don't own...why not bitch at them for doing the same?
I watched both first and second place videos in the competition. The results were fair. The competition is based on multiple factors not just dance. Judging is also on presentation. Dance is just the medium and not the only factor. Great dance surprises the watcher.
so glad aov won, they're not as well liked as the company but pushing creativity over technicality is a good thing as long as you don't look sloppy while being creative, which aov never did. the company was more technical and cleaner, not by a lot, but aov was leaps and bounds ahead of them in creativity. i felt like i already saw the companies performance on my first watch because it was the same stuff you always see, when i watched aov i got goosebumps several times. aov won this one by a landslide imo, nobody was even close to them for an overall performance.
They were amazing, here's what I think IMO, The Company had the best song choices and AOV's creativity was immense and told a great story, both of them were amazing, they are both winners IMO
The fact that people are coming on here just to say "I think the other group was better" is just so low. Regardless of whatever group won it clearly shows they put their ALL into their craft and all you guys do is ruin someone else's success.
I prefer the Company but the Villains definitely deserved 1st place. Here are some reasons why: 1.) You gotta admit, the strings part was cool, I also liked how they were able to do all that quickly without any entanglement 2.) Of course, the shadow part, it was cool and told a short story while it was at it. 3.) I feel like this "tone" of dancing is for more mature audiences while The Company can be easy to watch, with their complete synchronization and fluid motions, while the Villains were fairly complex and varies from time to time. Literally, the only thing I particularly disliked about all this hoopla was the music
1) That was one out of three part's i liked. 2) The shadow part was gimmicky this is a dance completion not a story telling competition and there was no dancing either throughout that segment. 3) It was made to get the audience off there seat which they did but the lighting was over kill and they never really had a break in their performance it was one big cluster fuck. Did they deserve to win NO the reason why the last part was pointless and they won because of a gimmick.
The LoudAssasin Watch the shadow part again, "there was no dancing either throughout that segment" there were dancers to either side dancing the entire time. Otherwise, respect your opinion.
agreed the company should have won. the only best part of the Villians performance was the shadow dance at the end, everything else was all over the place.
People should realize that it's not just about the appeal itself or popularity among the crowd, but how creative and sophisticated their moves are. I, too, enjoyed watching The Company's choreos more, as it had more swagger and good musicality. However, you seem to miss how amazing AoV was with their group choreo and transitions, uniqueness, and complexity -- some things I would never have come up with. And the shadow dancing part was performed superbly even though it is much easier to detect mistakes.
Most of them don't really strike me as dancers, but I mean I understand why they won- because the choreography and music is amazing. They put on one hell of a show!
When I saw the silhouette dance at the closer, the first thing I thought of was "Ohhey that's like silhouette shows they do in China with the paper cut dolls and hands" not "Oh hey that's from Attraction from Britain's Got Talent" so unless Attraction have secretly been around for like 10 bajillion years doing silhouette dancing, they definitely were not the originators of this style. So to those who keep on saying "Attraction did this first"....learn a little culture pls thanks Also this was really sick I love this set so much :D
There isn't even a competition here (not even close!). I watch this after The Company's performance but this is far more entertaining and (from an outsider pov) more creative and difficult to pull off. The dance during MJ's song was sick! The last part was definitely the winner..
WOW! Amazing! I can tell they really dedicate their time and effort into the dance since it was SOOO good! I see why 1st place was given to them :) great job!
It's like I'm watching Step Up street battle. The costumes, the choreography, the flow from one song to another not to mention how synchronised they all are. Fanfuckingtastic!
All of you are correct but it essentially lies within the preferences of the judges [whether they value concept over technique & vice versa]. Don't forget that these expert judges really put in a lot of thought carefully & collaboratively before choosing the winners. Also, I personally think it doesn't matter whether you place 1st or 4th but when you leave the stage feeling radiant and accomplished you grow from the experience.
I feel like they really did deserve to win, everyone is calling them sloppy and all over the place but their moves were so sharp and they transitioned beautifully. I thought it was really well done. With that many people coming on and off of the stage I'm surprised at how smoothly they went from one routine to another. They always had my attention away from those exiting and those who were beginning their part of the routine. Granted they did get fancy with the strings as well as the light show but it added so much. They're performers so they're going to put on a show. Not to say that The Company isn't but the styles of dance each group chose were quite different in that The Company was a lot more fluid and rythmic than AoV was.
i can't believe people are not giving them credit where credit is due. they did amazing. levels, layers, tutting, on point choreo, cohesive, smooth transitions.. and the puppet string props were TIGHT. I wasn't a huge fan of the shadow dance, but they deserved to win. i seen the other team, the second place one, and I think they were great too.. but this team was a little better
It's sad to see how The Company fanboys and fangirls have to come up to this video to disrespect the dancers of Academy Of Villains by saying they should not have won. Just because YOU liked The Company's piece more than this piece, does NOT mean they were better. I bet 80% of you don't even know anything about dance. Still, you're here calling them amateurs, talking about 'plagiarism' and criticising what dance SHOULD be like? Get out of here. Congrats to both Academy Of Villains and The Company for killing it.
Lmfao all the people who can't do this actually critiquing and coming down on this group is hilarious. Seriously the entertainment factor of this performance was astounding and after being around seeing dancers for as long as I have I can find as many groups that are just as clean as the company and dance that same exact style but lack creativity. But then again dance is subjective. It's what you like but if you can't do don't bash. I'm not saying don't express your opinion but don't be ignorant because your preference wasn't the top choice.
Okay, throughout the whole routine I was trying to see how they got first over The Company, but with the way they ended their routine, I don't know if I can argue with the judgement. The Company was strong all the way through and Academy of Villains showed their creativity and left you wanting more.
The 2nd place performance is appealing to the naked eye - that's why so many people think that The Company should've won even though I, along with many others who dance definitely believe that AOV deserved this win, hands down. AOV's performance was more technically complex, creative and significantly more difficult to pull off flawlessly than that of The Company's (which they successfully did).
Eva T. This idea was taken from a britains got talent about 5 months before. They won off of a stolen idea. Got pissed but we all know the real winners are.
Man you got some of the best part of Auckland hip hop companies. You got the crispness of IDCO, you got the raw energy of Neverland and you got notorious' tricks and cannons. If you dont live in new Zealand then you have no idea what im talking about.
Okay, so, I just watched this amazing performance but, for all the people who are saying that they shouldn't have won, geez guys, way to drop the mood. I bet most of you aren't a mile close to being as good as them in dancing, who gives you the right to judge? I agree The Company was pretty incredible too but I gotta admit AoV deserves their win. Their performance was just amazing.
I think they deserved to win haha. Here's why. Sure, "The Company" had sharper, slicker moves and were more well-coordinated. Therefore, "The Company" was clearer better than "Academy of Villians" in terms of pure dance. So when faced with such a strong team like "The Company", what did "Academy of Villians" decide to do? Answer: They decided to sway the judges by using visual appeal, colourful costumes, high energy music throughout. Most importantly, they injected variety and creativity such as the Shoelace Dance at 2:23 and the Shadow Dance at the end. In summary, "Academy of Villains" were like David competing with Goliath (ie, the Company). And faced with the strong, it's only natural for the weaker person to devise a few tricks up his sleeves to claim the final victory. :)
these dancers missed the point.. just because the music is LOUD and transformy doesn't mean the dancers are going to be good... creatively it struggled..the dancers were all over the place...the group that were dressed in their school attire were ABSOLUTELY amazing... they popped to carlos santana and classical and it was AMAZING!!!! kids today feel like everything has to be high energy. Oh well.. good on all the dancers for being out there.
i agree with Brian G. When you check out 1:19, I think some of the guys by the screen prop "missed their cue". =) If you are to judge and you are sitting in front, your attention is basically focused on the front row...missing those missed cues at the back. =) just an observation, but that could be part of their act.
I agree with you. I watched both back to back the other one was much better. Any judge who's a well-trained dancer would be able to tell that they deserved to win. This group has no chance without the last part of the number, which, I have to admit, was very impressive and crowd pleasing.
It's been done so many times before they attempted it, the company should've of won just because they don't copy what they see on RUclips or tv. It's sad how people can't see originality smh. I will admit I they are good but not for first place. The company took that win in my opinion, a lot of people agree
+geotube97 from a britains got talent... You coming here acting like I wouldn't know kid stfu that screen shit was 100% taken because they lacked originality, and I am a fan of the company. They don't take ideas c:
+Raul Roman and don't say what about the rest of the dance because we all know that was trash... I mean just dancing with strings trying to look cool? No one was wowed by it they got the win because they stole the screen thing
Villains just had flashy choreography which gave them more room for mistake. It was much more of a circus performance than a dance. Hell, if you just look at the AoV's track list you can tell it was pretty much gonna be all hype. All of their songs had beat "drops" where they could go ballz out for the crowd's screaming. On the other hand, The Company was clean and their choreography showed much more musicality, especially since they had fewer songs and went deeper into them. They executed their illustration of the music exceptionally. The Company's performance was much more well rounded, and if judging systems were consistent, The Company would've won.
This is exactly what I was thinking. It was sloppy. Too much sloppiness going on all at once doesn't equal great dancing and makes it hard to feel what was being done. They had a few nice moments here and there but overall they shouldn't have taken first place.
This was sick as hell when I watched it live but looking back on it now.. Let's be honest, how many of you actually watched them "dance" in the closer?
One thing people fail to realize is this is a competition it happens then and there no watching on RUclips afterwards to make a decision academy of villains delivered stage presence and stunts leading up to what could be an incredible ending when seen in person. I love the company and man they danced to my fav song but pure technique can only take you so far I've learned that firsthand from competitions. It's all about the atmosphere. By the way don't knock other people's time and effort we as dancers put in work to compete and entertain if you don't have anything positive to say or anything that could help them get better. Don't comment at all. -Braxton
While this groups techniques might not be as sharp as the second place group that everyone is comparing them to I think they took a lot more chances with their ideas and choreography, I found myself fast forwarding through the second place winners routine this one I watched all the way through. Again it's just what I think, dance like any art is open to a wide range of opinions that's what makes it interesting.
I will have to give props to AOV because they stuck to a certain cool theme and had produced a wild strong dancing element to fit that theme of villains, darkness, mystery and death. They made good use of the stage and manage to put it all together. With the Company I will say their dance style was cleaner and amazing as to how well it was choreograph. but unfortunately it didnt give that school vibe, I understand they did the whole music classroom concept but it did fail a bit to show it.
This is hands down the most incredible thing I've ever seen at a dance competition.
awesome and innovative ideas - thx for the great entertainment..!!!
As much as I might have preferred 2nd place performance- a bit easier on the eye- this was by far more creative and complex so I'm not surprised they won. +T. Revv agree with you, man
+Trev K thank you, i was going to say the same.
i feel like it's chaotic-ness made it hard to appreciate. i just saw a lot of spastic movements. definitely preferred The Company's second place performance.
ending was out of the world 🌎
Parag Bramh honestly didn't like it, thought it was cheesy
You haven't even scratched the surface, buddy.
i prefer the style of 'the company's' performance but i understand completely why the judges picked these guys.. i would have too. You can't argue with the sheer content and scale of creativity in this performance even if you prefer the style of 'the company'. Unbelievable talent all round.
I totally agree
Exactly!
Really well put!
Yup
We can't forget the complexity. They had way more difficulty than the company. And timings were as perfect as theirs. Just it wasn't sharpen and that's a style which it doesnt go into judge.
OMG THAT END !!!!! I just saw the company before... and when I start this video.. I'm like : why they win?...
The End comes and I'm like : OK I understand now !!
SO SICK !
I said the exact same thing when I saw the company, I was angry they came 2nd, but after seeing this I now know why
Have you watched America's Got Talent the last few years?? Sooooo many people have done the shadow story thing. It's not new but they banked on a bunch of people being clueless about it. You're right !
A Yorkies Shadow stuff being stolen? You do know the Chinese have been doing it for centuries, right?
A Yorkies But the way the incorporated they shadow was amazing. It shows their many talents. Also before that it was pretty close match.
wow that just blew my mind! Pharside on behalf of the east coast and all street dancers we are super proud of you and your team.. Continue to push that bar!
LOVE YOU GUYS! The most incredible, precise, and theatrical performance I have seen! So insanely talented--ALL OF YOU!!
1/9/2024 and i'm still watching this!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Are you kidding me?!!! They deserve #1! The creativity! They are true entertainers I love the theatre! I tapped my screen half way through just to make sure it wasn't almost over and then was blown away during they lyrical-ish Evanesence bit. I loved it. Bravo!!
Their costumes, their techniques, their ideas, long & hard practices, etc. So many wow factors. They totally deserve the 1st place.
This just wasn't a dance set nor was it performance……This Is Art & It was an experience I'll never forget. Beautiful Work AOV!
Like many others, I watched The Company's performance first, and had to find out who beat them. You guys did amazing and definitely deserved to win!

New? So you think that the "Shadow" show is new? I've seen that in a dance competition years before this event.
I think these guys won because they took risks and a clever use of props. 2nd place, was much cleaner with sharper movements. If it's strictly dance, The Company should have taken 1st place. But add in creativity and technical difficulty, these guys defo take the cake.

One of the most incredible performances I have ever seen. I am not a dancer by any means, but I love to watch. Keep on keeping on guys, Love it.
Once again, Pharside and Academy Of Villains raise the bar another level. Best performance I have ever seen.
Man, just when I thought it would take forever that there would be a new Vibe dance competition, here it is, in all its choreographed glory with some new killer sets!
...oh my god AOV was tight and amazing to watch once again! I can't wait to see more!
Let's see if other crews has made major progress ;)
My mind honestly was blown by this performance. These people are smooth and epic at the same time. In my opinion they deserved first.
Still one of the coolest concepts I've seen during a competition piece, well deserved
Wow that ending was crazzzyyy, definitely super creative. Glad they won.

The ending was pretty crazy.
I am floored. That silhouette bit was so awesome. So creative. It will stay with me for a long time. Keep up the creativity.
Being on a dance team myself I can honestly say that was literally the best dance or production I have ever seen... Amazing

That last dance was amazing but The Company deserve 1st Place
totally agree with you.
Well... They won because.. You know... The had dubstep...?
I think this is better. The choreo was complex from the start, and creative at the end. The Company was amazingly systematic, but actually a bit simpler from start to end.
This routine is way more creative.
Yes.
Good Job Pharside! Keep up the good work!
Wow...I've watched both the 1st&2nd position performances. & I think this guys deserves the 1st place. Why because dey've gat most mixed creativity in it...and that's what gave them the upper hand...simply brilliant!!!!
10 years later and I STILL don't know how any other squad could've beat this choreography.

DanceExposer I was in CSSD in 2000 and 2001. We performed the "puppet string" piece...totally different than this. This was original....
Always impressed with that AOV dubstep choreo
Wow you guys are amazing. I just love everything about your team. I loved the ending and I dream everyday about being on a team like yours.
this was the best dance routine i seen in a long time... y'all trippin
I watched both first and second place videos in the competition. The results were fair. The competition is based on multiple factors not just dance. Judging is also on presentation. Dance is just the medium and not the only factor. Great dance surprises the watcher.
this was well deserving of first place.. it was just dancing, it was a full on theatrical performance. they went for it and the result was awesome.
I jus can't believe this perfomance, they're amazing
so glad aov won, they're not as well liked as the company but pushing creativity over technicality is a good thing as long as you don't look sloppy while being creative, which aov never did.
the company was more technical and cleaner, not by a lot, but aov was leaps and bounds ahead of them in creativity. i felt like i already saw the companies performance on my first watch because it was the same stuff you always see, when i watched aov i got goosebumps several times. aov won this one by a landslide imo, nobody was even close to them for an overall performance.
Ga ada obat gilakkkkkkkk nonton dari 2015 sampe sekarang kg pernah bosen cuy
The one and only Ad that I didn't skip. I'm totally glad I didn't.
It's 10 years later and this is still the greatest dance performance I've ever seen.
Watching it again after 4 years. This video deserves more views than this. The choreo was a work of art. Big fan
That ending was the truth. So freaking creative! Best dance choreograph I've seen to date. 👏👏👏
I prefer the Company but the Villains definitely deserved 1st place. Here are some reasons why:
1.) You gotta admit, the strings part was cool, I also liked how they were able to do all that quickly without any entanglement
2.) Of course, the shadow part, it was cool and told a short story while it was at it.
TheAuthenticStinray Yeah but not really what you call dancing in this competition they were there to fill the stage.
agreed the company should have won. the only best part of the Villians performance was the shadow dance at the end, everything else was all over the place.
back2basiq1 I agree
I have watched this so many times. Regardless of who should've won, this was absolutely incredible. Never a dull moment.
Academy of Villains was amazing!! It was close for sure as it should be but definitely deserved it! Amazing job! Creative and entertaining! =]
So to those who keep on saying "Attraction did this first"....learn a little culture pls thanks
Also this was really sick I love this set so much :D
Love the last part!
CRAZY & EPIC!!!
소름 돋을 정도로 멋있네요. 특히 악마가 천사로 변하는 장면에서 정말 울컥할 정도로 전율이 일었습니다. 잘봤어요.
you guys did great.. west coast style is definitely unique and i love it... keep doing what your doing
So I was looking at the company and thought why didnt they get 1st place, so I went and look on this video and now I know why its sooo much better!.
I honestly didn't think they deserved first place until they pulled out the silhouettes. That was actually pretty frickin amazing
There isn't even a competition here (not even close!). I watch this after The Company's performance but this is far more entertaining and (from an outsider pov) more creative and difficult to pull off. The dance during MJ's song was sick! The last part was definitely the winner..
This was brilliant! WOW I completely see why they won! Extremely creative!
The last part was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I'm so overwhelmed right now. I can't breathe.....
The "shadow" part killed The Company, but The Company surely won the attention of million people. They've got like 7 million view now.
I watched The Company's video first and was like the group that beat them better be freaking awesome. They are.
You can't bite a culture. Congrats AOV.
Its untidy to watch.. Love love the company.. They're great! So clean performance :)
WOW! Amazing! I can tell they really dedicate their time and effort into the dance since it was SOOO good! I see why 1st place was given to them :) great job!
It's like I'm watching Step Up street battle. The costumes, the choreography, the flow from one song to another not to mention how synchronised they all are. Fanfuckingtastic!
the company's dance was cleaner, but this got some more technical movements.
And props too :/
No.
The company was great, but man this competition is crazy! All of these guys are really good!
The ending was amazingl. Loved it. Thank you for such creativity. Inspiring
Damn that was sick af. The ending was probably what won it for them! Kudos
You gotta admit the shadows were cool though but your right 2nd was the most in sync group ive ever seen
i can't believe people are not giving them credit where credit is due. they did amazing. levels, layers, tutting, on point choreo, cohesive, smooth transitions.. and the puppet string props were TIGHT.
Yes!! I completely agree, the company was amazing but academy of villains deserved this win.
Can I just say ALL of you have AMAZING talent!!!!!
after so many years still came back to watch one more time :D
JUST AMAZING IS COULDNT BE BETTER!! THEY DESERVED THE WIN!!!
Lucifers Son Boy... somebody sounds bitter as fuck. Poor sport are we? Who's to say "they stole" anything from anybody?
That was an amazing performance, the creative element was what made the difference
Man you got some of the best part of Auckland hip hop companies. You got the crispness of IDCO, you got the raw energy of Neverland and you got notorious' tricks and cannons. If you dont live in new Zealand then you have no idea what im talking about.
HOLY. SHIT. THAT. WAS. AMAZING.
None of us were ready...
1. Sage The Gemini - Gas Pedal /
2. Alex Young - Outrage /
3. Sluggo feat. Getter - In Cold Blood
What the song in last video ??
whats the title of the krump part
Okay, so, I just watched this amazing performance but, for all the people who are saying that they shouldn't have won, geez guys, way to drop the mood. I bet most of you aren't a mile close to being as good as them in dancing, who gives you the right to judge? I agree The Company was pretty incredible too but I gotta admit AoV deserves their win. Their performance was just amazing.
Wow that was a show! There was so much going on & the transitions are so creative. Keep up the great work
these guys did great. favourite dance crew and best routine ive ever seen
I understand now why they won!
Yeah me too! That was amazing!!!
So why do you think they won?
these dancers missed the point.. just because the music is LOUD and transformy doesn't mean the dancers are going to be good... creatively it struggled..the dancers were all over the place...the group that were dressed in their school attire were ABSOLUTELY amazing... they popped to carlos santana and classical and it was AMAZING!!!! kids today feel like everything has to be high energy. Oh well.. good on all the dancers for being out there.
"popped" to carlos santana huh? you obviously have no idea what popping is and therefore your comment about this video is invalid.
I couldn't call what they did to that Santana track as "popping", quite frankly. Makes me wonder where the heck you got your idea from.
i agree with Brian G. When you check out 1:19, I think some of the guys by the screen prop "missed their cue". =) If you are to judge and you are sitting in front, your attention is basically focused on the front row...missing those missed cues at the back. =) just an observation, but that could be part of their act.
Agreed. More gimmicks than talent here.
I agree with you. I watched both back to back the other one was much better. Any judge who's a well-trained dancer would be able to tell that they deserved to win. This group has no chance without the last part of the number, which, I have to admit, was very impressive and crowd pleasing.
That was incredible!!
Unbelievable - textured, storytelling, hard hitting, creative...Wow.
+geotube97 by the way their names are attraction and they were the first to do this so go look them up
Villains just had flashy choreography which gave them more room for mistake.
I don't care what others say about you patrick, you're pretty sharp.
This is exactly what I was thinking. It was sloppy. Too much sloppiness going on all at once doesn't equal great dancing and makes it hard to feel what was being done. They had a few nice moments here and there but overall they shouldn't have taken first place.
You have good taste In dance my friend
You have to give props to AOV with that many people it wouldve looked like a train wreck but they timed it perfectly.
ruclips.net/video/AHcsDLIdDtA/видео.html this is the best performance from academy of villains
This was sick as hell when I watched it live but looking back on it now.. Let's be honest, how many of you actually watched them "dance" in the closer?
holy SHIT.
This performance is beyond amazing, loved every part of it
One thing people fail to realize is this is a competition it happens then and there no watching on RUclips afterwards to make a decision academy of villains delivered stage presence and stunts leading up to what could be an incredible ending when seen in person.
Woahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! I jus couldn't BELIEVE what i SAW......... WOW..........
Man you guys owned it! Wish you would of got 1st in WOD because you guys deserved both 1st places in each competition!
one of the best things ive ever seen
