At 9:03 in the video you use a template and pattern bit for the first pass. How did you finish the entire curved surface? Template and pattern bit from the bottom side? If so how did you finish the middle piece? The remaining piece looks too long to get with a flush cut bit. I am very interested in your technique. You do outstanding work. Thanks for making these videos.
Yes, I removed the template and followed the curve already made. I then repeated this same pattern on the other side. Once the corner was rounded over I used a spindle sander off camera to even out the curve.
Thank you for this awesome video. The piano music together with the woodworking sound is beautiful. Your woodworking as well as the video editing are amazing craftsmanship.
11:04 What was the purpose of the thin strip of wood..........just to give it a face-grain appearance instead of edge grain? Or strictly to cover up the miter gap?
The wide boards are gorgeous. I’ve seeing that cathedral grain. My question is how do you compensate for wood movement in the design? I didn’t see anything in the joinery but I’m sure you thought about it first such a beautiful table.
Turned out quite nice. Are you making your table custom for a certain client? Or are you making the table and selling it via virtual showroom or marketplace?
I was being nice, but comments want to be shitty. so yea it is that bad because it’s just a dude doing a bunch of random tasks. i might as well be watching someone do their taxes just to hold up a tax return. I want to hear about the process and the materials and the reasoning or backstory behind the title of the video. I’m not here to listen to elevator music. You guys lost the plot.
As a solo full time woodworker myself (and new RUclipsr) don’t you just love flipping those big tabletops yourself!😂
Got a system to do it!
He says everything without saying one word. Amazing work
That’s the goal!

Covering up the miter gap.

Thank you for that, great work!
Great job! As usual!
I personally prefer wax oil but I guess it was your client's choice?
Great job and nice videos. I always learn something.
Thanks :)
Beautiful table, love the design. Is that black epoxy you used on the knot? I always struggle with which color to use on white oak.
I usually use clear epoxy for white oak.

The bolt on plates have elongated holes to allow for the expansion and contraction of the boards over the seasons.
@@taitlinstudioI completely missed that detail. Thanks for responding!
What is that inflatable spray booth?

It’s made for a specific client :)
... and you made it look easy.
Unfortunately I had a lot of mid steps along the way that prolonged the build.
I’ve said that before too
Famous last words.
In woodworking terms, the table top is supported by sum crafty legs.

My older videos have narration!
I like this channel as it is. With music and the art of doing it.
Is peace and quiet so bad?
