Also I have to say I love it (McDonald's copyright) when someone at a social gathering takes the stage quite naturally and is on fire. Just sitting back listening and sipping is a wonderful thing. Folks.
Thank you so much for posting these videos!!! And for the edit job (the two other guests were really tedious I thought, exasperating BR at one point towards the end). I had kept my recording on VHS from the 'Frankly Vermicelli' anecdote onwards, but I had recorded it on long play, and got round this weekend to trying to dub it to DVD... but the sound track is so crap and spoiled that it wasn't worth it. Fantastic to find that whole section and the earlier bits of Bruce here! HILARIOUS!
@philmharvey Hi there, thanks for the reply. Fair enough, that puts a different perspective on things. If the other bits were cut out, then that changes everything. I am a fan, and I think he's a great writer, and I'm glad to hear it's not like I thought it was. Thanks for that, billy
There is a bit missing here I'm sure when BR talks about selling 'In Dreams' to Spielberg "... he clutched the script to his tit and said "This is my next movie".."
Bruce is a great story teller

Welcome to dinner with Ruby and Bruce (and the other two)
Call me crazy if you will, but when I watch someone who interests me being interviewed, I sort of want them to talk about themselves.

When the world wasn't woke
Brits and pseudo Brits trying to recreate something they were never any good at, informal conversation…
Oh get fucked....we INVENTED informal conversation.
What?
I love Bruce's stuff, especially thomas penman, but in this series of videos he comes across as a bit of a self obsessed bore
