How To Fix a Laptop That Won't Connect to Wifi
A laptop usually needs a WLAN card, i.e a Wireless Local Area Network Card, to receive wireless connection for wifi signal. Sometimes if there is no wireless or wifi connection on a laptop, it is possible that the WLAN card is damaged, or the white and black antenna cables are loose, or the cables have been wrongly plugged into their corresponding white and black triangles.
You can use almost any WLAN card, make sure you check for compatibility with seller before ordering, you do not have to stick to the original laptop's make and model WLAN part, as long as the part number is the same.
If the WLAN card is working but the signal is weak, first try moving the laptop close to the wifi connection. Next update the drivers. You can also uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Finally, if the signal is still weak, you may be able to obtain a better stronger signal with a better WLAN card.

In this youtube video tutorial, the laptop was not detecting the wifi signal, so I swapped the wlan card back again with its original motherboard. In this specific case, although both laptops were from the same make, the wifi card was different, which can happen, so please check the part number carefully.

I have a question to you. So when we happen to change the wifi card, do we have to insert specific card that corresponds to the mother-boards? Or can it be vary?
I believe they're just the same, it's an M.2 PCIe card.

Any card will be fine
If the pins look the same, there is a high chance that it will work. But some cards need special functions of the Intel processor available only from 8th generation of processors. Also check if your hardware manufacturer doesn't whitest allowed hardware (if he does, you need modded bios).
@@Slada1 Good answer . You can also mod the wifi card , blank off a couple of pins . With some you blank 1 , others it is 2

@frank well, i didnt! There might be a how-to video on Y/T on how the connector can be reattached by soldering. For now, the wi-fi card cinnector is still broken! So, either replace the wifi card, or look for a DIY! 😁🤓 thank you

I got myself a replacement Wi-Fi card back this February. It definitely worked, I got the first wire connected, but I struggled with getting the second one one. Did anyone else struggle with this?
what card do you reccomend? it doesnt have to be the newest but most of the cards now a days have only 1 screw, but i have 2 to secure card so idk what newer card to use.

when that is torn off it not repairable , look for a second hand card , or better still tell them to repair what they broke

Not all laptops have 2 wires , depends on the make and model . It will affect the wifi signal and speed that you get just having 1 . You can add another wire but its tricky if you want it in the best place for reception, it needs to go to the top of the screen . That means you need to remove the screen , bezel and a whole lot of other things . If you feel confident about doing it try a computer repair shop for a second hand wire , the connector is the same for all

My computer sometimes (maybe once every 15 minutes or so) just disconnects from the wifi and when i troubleshoot the internet it says that it reset the wireless WLAN card and that the problem is fixed yet a few minutes later the same problem occurs and when i troubleshoot it again it does the same thing and says that the problem is solved
heck in the network, adapter or power settings - sometimes the option to cut power off is set, when idle

Now my wifi works, but I cant turn on bluetooth. I checked I put in the exact same model as it was before. One thing I've noticed, that my laptop had only a white wire, the black one wasn't there, not even on the original card, so I'm not sure if that causes the bluetooth problem. @@khalil4248 yes i did. Reformatted the whole pc. And bought a new hard drive. Apparently, my hd was the issue and it was not the wifi card. Ever since buying a new hd, and rebooting all back to default fixed my issue.

I replaced mine and reconnecting to the cable to the card. One of the connectors got bent while connecting. So i just fixed it with tape.

bluetooth and wificard have long life just window 10 blocked the third party driver just uninstalled the bluetooth driver in window 10 and clean the dust on card pins no need to buy new card

faulty ram will cause a pc not to boot. If its not powering up it could be the power source or the motherboard.
