I’ve had great luck with the tunze pumps on my nanos for years. It’s a really good pump to hide behind rock.
Definitely!
Very cool pump. That would be great for behind my rocks to supplement my gyres
100%! One of the setups I may try out as well is behind the rockwork
That pump looks great, I may need to get a couple of them. Keep up the great videos
Thanks! It's doing great so far!
Tunze is one of the few companies that makes quality products for those of us with nano reefs.
I do love those small pumps :D
Great job!
Thanks!
Hey, can you give me some info / updates on this lil wavemaker? Because I'm still deciding whether to buy Tunze 6040 or Vortech MP10, the only thing that worries me about this wavemaker is the inverts. I'm gonna use this wavemaker 24/7, so fish will have to swim up against the current before getting hit by the blade, but inverts; especially snail can just climb up on the pump. Any inverts getting killed by this pump ever since you put it in your tank yet? Thanks in advance.
I did not have any issues with critters getting into this pump at all! I think with the flow it produces, unless you're doing a long pulse, I would doubt anything would be able to get into the prop area unless they were on top of the pump when it pauses and they fall down in.
If you wanted to put this in a sump is it safe to put the outer magnet in the water ?
Technically the outer magnet is coated...but I would of course be cautious and just do a check on it when doing your regular sump maint. just to ensure nothing has broken and causing rust, etc. I guess in reality you could just put it in a ziploc bag with air removed to be extra safe.
@@premiumaquatics8015 good idea thanks
Tun-sey sounds so much better than toons.
lol, I've always pronounced it like that :)
@@premiumaquatics8015 same here Haha
