Thank you for making this video, it has really helped me calm down and not worry as much. I have my interview coming up very soon and looking forward to putting this all behind me and look forward to a bright future. Thanks again.
I have questions!!! I wasn't married to my U.S citizen son father but I have been abused by him for 5 years now, he also get arrested for abusing me please what can I do
Hello, first and foremost, are you safe? Your first priority must be to ensure that you are not going to be abused further by this person. We recommend contacting advocates at the National Domestic Violence Hotline for assistance: www.thehotline.org/get-help/. For your immigration case, you may be able to show that your relationship qualifies as a “common law marriage” and apply for residency through VAWA, or you may be able to qualify for a U visa. To know for sure, an attorney needs to fully analyze your case. Once you are secure and able to consult with an attorney, we would be happy to visit with you and/or recommend possible resources depending on your location. Please feel free to email us at info@walkergatesvela.com . Wishing you safety, healing, and courage as you move through this crisis.
