I NEED an album from these two. I NEED them to record these hauntingly beautiful songs. The world needs more of them. Their voices are just perfection. Heck everything they do and everything instrument they play has me totally immersed in the music.
Absolutly beautiful, true gaélic music!!
Agreed! I would buy the album!
New ep released today.
I too wishing for album ta siad go hiontach 😅
I can't understand a single word in Gaelic, but for some reason I'm absolutely sure that they sing not about sex, money or fame, therefore they win my sympathy straightway! Greetings and respect from Russia!
So beautiful❤❤
Is there anything more beautiful than sibling harmonies? Perfection 👌
“You are given your name but your voice is yours.” Well put Sir! Well put.
Wow! Thanks to McNeelamusic for just sending me this link. Rich, complex and haunting... delightful to discover these talented young siblings and sean nos singing in general.
What Séamus & Caoimhe Ui Fhlatharta are doing for Ireland is important, extremely important, for the whole world at this time of cultural vandalism. You've earned a subscriber!
Seriously.......haha
Well said let’s keep our Irish heritage going for eternity with the likes of you two and many others keep our ancestors proud.🇮🇪
You feel it, when you sing it, Seamus, and we feel it when we listen. I can hear / feel so many things - a bagpipes drone, a grieving mother’s Keening, Gregorian chant, the feeling I had standing in the 9th century chapel at Cashel. Somebody needs to show all these comments to a Producer. Glen Hansard needs to introduce you to his label exec. We need an Album from you two. Your music is a balm.
Haunting beautiful. So glad other people are worried about this disappearing because this is more than I can describe
I wish Séamus made more music, & sing those Gaelic songs of old too. We need Music videos etc. It would be amazing. He's got such a Beautiful & talented voice.
In music we pray twice! This is almost unbearably beautiful! You make joy and pain harmonise. Thank you for this impeccable work. 🎶❤️
Thank you for your respect and dedication to the tradition!
Hauntingly beautiful
A Pheadair, a Aspail,
An bhfaca tú mo ghrá geal?
Óchón agus óchón-ó!
Chonaic mé ar ball é,
Gá chéasadh ag an ngarda.
Óchón agus óchón-ó!
Cé hé an fear breá sin
Ar Chrann na Páise?
Óchón agus óchón-ó!
An é n-aithníonn tú do Mhac,
A Mháthrín?
Óchón agus óchón-ó!
An é sin an Maicín
A hoileadh in ucht Mháire?
Óchón agus óchón-ó!
An é sin an Maicín
A rugadh insan stábla?
Óchón agus óchón-ó!
An é sin an Maicín
A d'iompair mé trí ráithe?
Óchón agus óchón-ó!
A Mhicín mhúirneach,
Tá do bhéal 's do shróinín gearrtha,
Óchón agus óchón-ó!
Cuireadh tairní maola
trína chosa 's trína lámha,
Óchón agus óchón-ó!
Cuireadh an tsleá
Trína bhrollach álainn.
Óchón agus óchón-ó!
Óchón agus óchón-ó!
...
Peter, Apostle,
Have you seen my bright love?
Alas, and alas-o!
I saw not long ago
Surrounded by his enemies.
Alas, and alas-o!
Who is that good man
Upon the Passion Tree?
Alas, and alas-o!
It is your son, Mother,
Don’t you recognise me?
Alas, and alas-o!
Is that the wee son
That was nourished at Mary's breast?
Alas, and alas-o!
Is that the son
That was born to me in the stable?
Alas, and alas-o!
Is that the son
I carried for three quarters?
Alas, and alas-o!
Darling little son,
Your mouth and your nose are cut,
Alas, and alas-o!
Blunt nails were pushed through
His feet and his hands.
Alas, and alas-o!
And a spear pierced
Through his beautiful chest.
Alas, and alas-o!
Alas, and alas-o!
Words are not enough to tell what these artists say to my soul.

Magnificent
well, that was a lovely way to start the morning. anyone have a translation of the lyrics. though I don't need them to enjoy the music, I am kinda curious to know what they are singing
Caoineadh na dTrí Muire translates to the Keening (a sort of lament) of the Three Marys, Caoineadh na bPáiste translates to the Keening of the Passion (or Easter). It's written from the perspective of Mary mother of Jesus, keening and lamenting and watching on as her son is crucified. When are ye 2 bringing out an album
Bhainfeadh sibh deora as na clocha glasa.
Go hálainn ar fad ... beannachtaí dóibh
Does anybody know how contact and book this duo?
Galanta
Is there a way to watch with the lyrics shown in English subtitles? Better way to learn Irish than in a classroom.
Could someone please tell me how to pronounce their names please?
Shae-mus and Kwee-va
@@christinanemcikmongold9683 Wow, what a language! How the heck do you get the sound Kwee Va from those letters?!?!
Amazing. Thank you so much!
@@Lee-nh5bb I wondered the same thing.
@@christinanemcikmongold9683 I considered French orthography as the weirdest relating to pronunciation among European languages, but Gaelic seems like to win the first prize )) And what does "Ui" particle mean? Like "O'" in "O'Brian"? Much respect for proud Celtic people from Russia!
Go hálainn ar fad
Any chance you might stop rabbiting on before every song ....... Btw you're not the first "generation" haha to add harmonies to Irish music- get over yourselves:).........yawn
Another negative loser crying
Beautiful
