Thanks for coming back to Voice Play- I really enjoy your enthusiastic reactions! Yes, they still do all their own production. The complicated prosthetic makeup here was done by long time friend, Rick Underwood, the makeup artist that did their makeup when they worked as performers for Universal theme park in Orlando Florida. Yes, Rachel can sing opera and you would love Voice Play's cover of "Phantom Of The Opera" with Rachel Potter.
First, great form on your waltz, elbows were just right! Second, you should have joined Cesar in the Can Can. They did Hall of the Mountain King, you will love it. And for another belly laugh, catch their version of Drunken Sailor. Trust me.
Almost as if I have competed on a national level ;). The room is limited though because of the green screen... So I couldn't move as much as I would have liked to. And... I trust you ;)
I always enjoy your reactions to VoicePlay! Please do more of them. This Friday they will be releasing Be Prepared from the Lion King, and it is awesome!
A wonderful, classically chaotic performance. I had a lot of fun watching it and somehow I recognized all the parts of the song. Great reaction as always and thank you for sharing
Every time I watch this video I see something new. Right about the time that the love spell is cast, I noticed the last page sticking out of her bosom. 🤣 And the fire's color changes to the skin tone of the character casting a spell from the book. Rachel's talent is undeniable. She is amazing. And Layne is the best beatboxer I have ever come across. The VoicePlay team members work so very well together. 💯
This is a follow up to last year's In The Hall of the Mountain King., using the same characters. Apart from the female guest. If you haven't seen that one, you should. :) The creatures are apparently called Grundels. Yes, do watch it again, without turning away. There is so much going on that you probably missed. The songs are listed in the credits. So you can check your list. Happy you noticed the voice swapping, many people are confused by that.
Who needs Waltzing Matilda when we can have Waltzing Viking (good job btw to Johann Strauss' Blue Danube Waltz). Funny Reaction to a funny compilation - but I definitely prefer their everyday looks 😆. 🎶🎶🎶
There was also "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" (Mozart), and the very beginning, I think, was "Phantom of the Opera". This was so fun! I made myself watch something other than Dan Vasc (he is my favorite, and I'm fighting my addiction😂), and this was fabulous. Thanks!!
They filmed this at Pattycake (Layne and Tony's studio). Their list of music titles is in their description of this video. When Cesar stole voices, that was Layne (rather than Geoff) and Rachel actually singing
Layne actually has a larger range than Geoff, but I font think he uses it as often. Layne did the low voice for Cesar. I think you did Hellfire, and Layne is the one that says "Burn It" in the low voice also. He covers bass sometimes when Geoff has a solo part that is higher than base unless the backups carry the rhythm of the bass line.
Layne did all the CGI effects in post himself. (He also arranged, directed (with the help of his business partner Tony), and did all but the final audio edit. Layne and Tony own Pattycake Productions where this was filmed. They hauled in 32 real trees and another 10 hand painted tree trunks to dress the set. (They also filmed several Pattycake videos while the forest was there. ) The eyes weren’t done in post. They were wearing contact lenses. (It was Rachel’s first time!)
Wow such a fun and outstanding arrangement and magnificent costumes/makeup!! I will definitely be looking for more of them! Great reaction from you SirViking!!! Totally mid evil vibes and silliness!! Thank you! 🙏🏼🤭🫡😉🥰

Look like you haven't reacted to the first use of those character from "in the hall of the mountain king". If you like this one, I'm sure you will enjoy the "mountain king" one.
I also grew up on classical and opera (as well as Big Band and Jazz). I grew up appreciating all kinds of music from a wide variety of artists. All these years later, music is still a passion. I really enjoyed your reaction to this as well. It was a lot of fun….and you’ll catch the rest of the songs the 2nd time around.
This was awesome! And RUclips is messing with me -- notifications are terribly delayed! Still, I love what they did with these classical pieces and loved your reaction. Thanks for this one!
Think Grundels for the characters. Cesar stole the voices and did the CanCan too. VoicePlay did a full on In the Hall of the Mountain King. Oh and Geoff dropped Big Iron today!
