I would like to take a moment to thank Pa Magnolia for this reaction request and I’d like to thank everyone apart of the GH squad for your constant patience and support. I’ve been dealing with a lot mentally and physically but I’m thankful for all of your kind words and positive energy you’ve sent my way. Also, there’s a lot of anger and hatred in this world right now.. let’s all do our best to be kind to ourselves and to each other. Blessings and love to you all and I hope you enjoyed this video 💗
I have friends that care about my well being. Their advice to me: don't watch the news.
You're absolutely right, Lizzie. There's so many people that are not only intolerant of one another, but are actually doing worse than that.
As much as possible I've been concentrating on subjects and people that I know are positive. That's why I'm happy that you've posted a new video. Seeing you Barry and Andy definitely give me a positive feeling.
Stay happy, healthy and strong, Lizzie.
Hippie G, You have much to explore in just the 70s, even tho I read your post in another thread where your family is very diverse in spanning music genres since about the 40s.
Well I think you will love, absolutely love, a song from a beautiful voice of the 70s, but sadly, no longer with us. Her name is Phoebe Snow and the song I love is Poetry Man. Give it a listen. 💛
Ya gotta watch 'em play it live at Woodstock...It was thier first gig, They were scared as hell to be playing for such a huge crowd, but sounded beautiful and earned a stading O .
Bless you Lizzie 🫶
All my best wishes for every good thing in your life.
CSN was a "supergroup" made up of David Crosby of the Byrds, Stephen Stills of Buffalo Springfield and Graham Nash of the Hollies. All of these groups made great music in the '60s and deserve your attention. After this album, CSN added the great Neil Young to the lineup and made "Deja Vu," which is imo their best album. Neil is a towering figure in rock music and worth a deep dive.
Just to add, Neil Young had also been in Buffalo Springfield.
As a hippie, it is your sworn duty to soak in the love of Crosby, Stills, Nash AND Young for that matter.
Upon hearing this, Judy Collins reportedly said to Stephen Stills "Nice song, but the answer is still No".
Thank you sooo much dear Liz for reacting to this! Stephen Stills, the guy in the middle, was the lead singer and he wrote the song for his then girlfriend, Judy Collins. A wonderful singer herself. Thanks again!! Gramps!! 😅
IMHO one of the greatest songs ever recorded. Their talent was over the top. Nothing today comes close.
That's classic Hippy music. Glad you dug Liz...
The "Suite" is in reference to this being three songs Stephen Stills could never "finish" about the girl that dumped him. Thus his band mates were like, lets just play what you git and call it "Suite Judy Blue Eyes". Someone told her he wrote this about her, she sent word back she loved the song but stull wasn't interested in him. COLD
Stephen Stills was writing about his relationship with Judy ("Judy Blue Eyes) Collins. The name "suite" is a double entendre, referring to "Sweet" Judy and the take on the musical "suite" form - notice the four separate parts.
Alan Dean Foster, the famous American fantasy and science fiction writer who applied his writing talent to such hits as Star Wars and Star Trek, wrote a few words about Diana Ankudinova on his website.:
"Also, check out the youtube videos of the teenage Russian singer Diana Ankudinova. Her "Rechenka" is practically a mini-fantasy vid all by itself. Her vocal control is astonishing , her voice is powerful, and the timbre is unique. Closest analog I can think of is Yma Sumac."
So let me also advise you to make a reaction to the song Rechenka (14 years old)
Also best choice from Diana's channel:

Hi Liz, always love to see ya! CSN was THE massive folk rock group of the times. They became an alternative to hard rock that burst onto the scene in the late 60s. Another great track is “Carry On” from an album called “Deja Vu”.
This is the version of Carry On you want... 1974 live... kick ass hard rock... ruclips.net/video/ed1wMUKSkok/видео.html
Stephen Stills not only writes the song he sings lead and plays all the instruments. Not a bad piece of work.
"Love the One You're With" is a good one by them. Or if you want a song that will be stuck in you head for like a week "Our House" is your song! Love you reactions Liz!
That was actually just Stephen Stills...
@@thomastimlin1724 I was giving her good song suggestions. If she hasn't heard of csn I'm assuming she hasn't heard any of the solo stuff. She's a bright woman she can figure that out on her own!
Teach Your Children is another great selection from their catalog.
OMG I got a shout out! :) You really made my day. Excellent choice today. I'm glad you took a chance with CSN. I was enjoying you enjoying the harmonies. As the years have gone by I find that this song has more meaning to me as I sometimes consider myself 'no fun anymore.' haha. But I'd love to spend the day driving around with you listening to great tunes. RUclips works too! Alas, some more Anti-Crusty favorites to check out...
- Everytime I think of You by The Babys
- Rosalinda's Eyes by Billy Joel
- Silver Springs by Fleetwood Mac *edit: Just saw Rumors album on your IG.
- Tender Is the Night by Jackson Browne
- Love Song by The Cure
I love my Gangsta hippie great reaction my girl love ya keep up the great work!
So missed your beautiful smile and reaction girl! Please stay!!!!!!
So happy to see you back! With that beautiful smile and soothing voice... We will always be here for you. You are amazing Liz ❤️
Song is about Steven Stills (blonde haired guy in this band), and who he loved deeply Judy Collins (another songbird). Check out Steven's other song 'Southern Cross' also about Judy. Thanks for the memories.
Love that song. Glad to see you back!!
Hi Lizzie. Love their harmony. "Waisted on the Way" and "Southern Cross" are great tracks as well.
A suite, in Western classical music, is an ordered set of instrumental or orchestral/concert band pieces. In this case, this song consists of several separate pieces.
Great old song! Love your reactions! Can I suggest The Doobie Brothers….It Keeps You Running! Michael McDonald kills it! Or….You Make Lovin Fun by Fleetwood Mac. Both songs are right up your alley!!
It never gets old.
I love your vibe girl 💥🤩❤️ Glad to see you back in action 🙏💪😀
Thank you so much! 💗💗💗
I just stumbled onto your page and I checked out a bunch of your reactions and you are my new favorite!
Another great song and reaction! Even if I am several months late in seeing it, lol. You are awesome, Liz! Here's to your next one! 🙏😊💜
Ohhhh Lizzie. I have missed you so much. I love your commentary, the sound of your voice and your delivery, even in all of it's feistyness. Glad your back. ❤️
Hi 👋🏼 beautiful Lizzie! I could be your Nana or grandma! I’d love to be❤I have 2 grandkids already, but there’s room in my heart for another ❤️🌸
Awww that’s so sweet 😭💗 always room for as many Nana’s possible!!

Thank you for listening to the whole song without stopping every other verse to try and puzzle out what the late 60s slang meant. I will put in a word for Budgie, a contemporary of CSN, and ask you to listen to Napoleon Bona, Parts 1 and 2, and also Fanny, the first all-girl rock group signed to a major label.
Hi Liz its so lovely to see your smiling face again, stay strong and safe, we are all out here for you no matter what, much love from me here in the UK ❤❤❤
Hey GH so happy that you’re back in play! Really hope all is well with you and whatever is going on. Your health and well being is paramount. It’s always great to see your beautiful smile and feel your stellar vibe!! 😊❤️
Liz is back!! It's very nice to see you again. This group and song take me way back, I was 14 in '69. They did a lot of good music. I enjoyed your reaction as always. Happy 4th and all that, stay safe and take care :-)
Awwww, the Gangsta is back and killing it with a mighty masterpiece! Thank you Liz, this is sacred roots music for me ❣️🌹🥰✌️
Maybe next up, you might like Cat Stevens, the Playing For Change performance of "Peace Train". It's another global ensemble including Cat Stevens himself playing a song that is so badly needed these days. Again, ✌️🌹🎇
Thanks so much 🥰🦋 so glad you enjoyed it! And I’ll have to check him out!!
Cat Stevens was mt absolute favorite! Sad Lisa, Father and Son, Wild World and sooo many more!
@@bkm2797 Have you seen the "Playing For Change Peace Train" video? Seeing Cat in the middle of the video was wonderful, the entire video is breathtaking! ✌️😇😁
Daniel, No I haven't, but I will see if I can find it here in RUclips! Thanks for the recommendation.

I am so glad to discover your channel
I love watching your facial expressions when you hear good harmonies..it reinforces me to move forward on an idea of approaching the local college and offering a mucis appreciation class on classic rock and r&b...bravo tu
Hi lizzie it's so good to see you again I'm glad that you are doing well. We have to keep the positive vibes going on in what's happening in our country. Take care lizzie until next time many blessings to you and your family
Gggrrreeeaaattt to see you again Lizzie! As always we all hope all is well with you! Great reaction (as usual)!
Hi Lizzie. Love their harmony. "Waisted on the Way" and "Southern Cross" are great tracks as well. my friend..... big like620
RIP, David Crosby! 😢🙏🏻
I was a junior in high school when this came out. I still love it and love seeing younger people discover it.
One of my favorites by CSN is "Helplessly Hoping". You would also get a kick out of the song "Woodstock". It's a brief history lesson on the Woodstock concert in 1969.
This song is a lot like Prog Rock at the beginning of it. Takes you on a journey and creates a real vibe.
Hey Liz!!!
Hiii 🦋🌸
It's like watching myself hear it for the first time. Hella timeless music.
This is a good one. They're great at creating tension, and playing patient at the same time. Great rhythms, great vibes. Love how he switches it up and starts signing Spanish at the end.
I have this song on my phone. I love it so much. Classic
This is with out a doubt one of my favorites of their’s! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hello sweetheart, Nanna here again (GB). Lovely to see you again & you're looking as beautiful as ever. Seeing you so pretty & happy again has made our day over here in GB. Always loving you my baby & always watching over you from afar to make sure you're doing ok. God bless, big hugs & love always. Nanna xx ps hope your family's well especially your Momma. x
I love this entire album
First time seeing you, nice. The woman he wrote it for said "That was beautiful! It's still no."
Hi Lizzie, Please don't forget this subscriber as I too have been a part of the "Gangster Hippie Family" for a very long time!!! This track has some sounds of folk & soft rock combined along with some nice harmonies, which makes it a very unique song!!! Shout out to Pa Magnolia and to You for this amazing reaction!!! Sincerely, CR SoundDoctor 💯% I gave it 2 thumbs-up 😉👍👍
"......what've you got to lose???......." i own the SACD of this and lord is it a wonder...... 🤩these guys were fukin geniuses!!!!! 😉
Whenever you get chance, you must react to '' These Eyes '' by the Guess Who, you would love it, haunting song, fantastic vocals and Strings ❤❤❤
I've been putting songs I remember from that era on my personal playlist:
"These Eyes" by The Guess Who
"Windy" by The Association
"Stormy" by The Classics IV
"Like To Get To Know You" by Spanky and Our Gang
"Love Or Let Me Be Lonely" by The Friends of Distinction
"Cherry Hill Park" by Billy Joe Royal
"Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf
When I listen to these songs, I only remember having fun.
Yu bein funni 😃
The intro!
Lissie letting her Freak Flag fly high! For the inner hippie in you try Jimi "Hey Joe", "Tupelo Honey" Van Morrison & Chambers Brothers "Time has come Today". Your soul is psychedelized. We got to work on the hippie in you!
This is a great group thank you ! They all came from great groups. one song they did is" Teach Your children" great song. thank you again
Oh my...Those eyes! Wow!...where was I...Oh...this band...yes...they are awesome...this one still has legs!Ty dear for this
Grew up to this playing in my house.
Dad loves CSNY, his son does too ✌🏻
There is a live version of their song Long Time Gone where they sang with Tom Jones on his TV show that is awesome.
This woman is so beautiful.
Grew up in Boulder when this came out, heard it while my mom made brownies.
hey LBA🤟enjoy the 4th tomorrow 🦋🐼🐻❄️
Thank you Lizzie, your reaction video brings back memories of the wonderful music from that era.
There has to be representation of beautiful music during these chaotic times. I would like to request two songs:
"Love Music" by Sergio Mendes
"What The World Needs Now Is Love" by Jackie DeShannon
Those are two songs that come to mind when I think of people loving one another. A part of your name reminds me of another period in history when peace and joy had to be promoted. Back then, folks called them 'Hippies'.
As always, my best wishes to you, Barry and Andy.
I do hope you have headphones on. 60’s & 70’s music was made for “Bakers”! Lol
My day is better to see you back in action besides all that has happened to you since we last saw you. I look forward to see your posts soon. Hope to see you soon back in action. We all love and missed you!
your going to love this romantic love song from the early 60's lets bring that spirit back, Jr. Walker and The All Stars "What does it take" he has a sax i believe , your life wont be compleate until you hear this
Helplessly Hoping. Oh my
Let me suggest that you turn your attention to the unique singer from Russia - *Diana* *Ankudinova* . This is the case when the genre, style, musical direction in which she sings is not important, but only her unique, inimitable voice and the way she presents the song itself to us are important!
Welcome Back
A sometime 4th member was Neil Young! He as a solo song you may like "Heart of Gold" peace and love
I saw them do this for the first time in public at Woodstock. It was their first concert gig. I'm still impressed.
Thanks for taking me back to my 1960s Haight-Ashbury days. When Neil Young joined the group the harmony was even better.
Gramps know what’s what. This song has been with me since I first heard it as a child. Love. Love. Love. ❤❤❤ And I recommend closing your eyes when you listen to this song. It hits different.
Great critique
Check out John Farnham, When the war is over live, the last time concert...love you Lizzie...
Missed that girl 🔥🔥🔥
No auto-tune back then either. Check out "Hopelessly Hoping" too.
They are one the groups that played at the historic Woodstock concert. The band has a rich history with it's members all coming from different bands, some of the guys have been in several famous bands.
Great content. I'm subbed
Luv ya, Lizzie!
Such a beautiful Woman you are!
Keep up the great job/work/channel, Sister!
Kudos!
RIP David - an amazing talent.
Supa Dupa, Lizzie! 'Wooden Ships' is another great one of them. And check out Bee Gees with 'Blue Island', live and unplugged on MTV Most Wanted in 1993, to learn something more about best harmonies.
If you like the bass in CSN, try "49 Bye-Byes" by them. Crank it up and rattle the windows.
Something more beautiful try "Guinevere ". Like a fantasy fairytale.
Judy Collins has incredible blue eyes and a great voice. Send in the Clowns is a favorite. This was the Topanga canyon Blvd period.
You should give the Eagles " I can't tell you why " a listen. You w8ll not be disappointed.
they add a new band member, Neil Young, shortly after this. their sound and music becomes even more lit. neil young is a force of nature, scary how intense he is. woodstock, teach your children, carry on, all pure classics. i love Helpless as well.
They actually sang this at Woodstock
I have missed you Lizzie!!! Great seeing you back..😀😀 Please react to "Hard Habit To Break", by Chicago.😀❤
Hi Lizzie... I haven't seen you in over 4 months... I hope you are well... We miss you. You deserve happiness.. I pray you are... We hope to see you again. Stay blessed.😀❤️
Try "Southern Cross."
Hahaha you rock girl👍🦘🐨 I’m the pieman from Australia Oi liz George Harrison awesome song and video. Give me love 👍. Cheers the pieman
For ultimate harmonies, listen to Guinivere (sic) by them!!
Almost 60 years ago. Omg
I dig your vibe
I'm surprised you had never heard of (David) Crosby, (Steven) Stills and (Graham) Nash (with Neil Young added later). The greatest Folk Rock group of all time. You do need to explore them more, then you'll understand. ✌️😎
Lizzie check out, Time alone with you, & Possession, ( Audio) by Bad English....when you get the chance 😉
Lizzie is a Dub♥️
Check out the studio version's When I think of you, & Easy to fall, by Journey from the album Trial by fire 🔥 I believe you will love ❤ them...
