Potter was losing the plot with his set up, playing wingers as full backs, CB's as fullbacks, midfielders as strikers.
Boehly hasn’t been the man in charge of Chelsea for som time now. Its Eghbali and the two sport directors, yet the media still Think its Todd. Also a lot of things have changed since Potter was there, in terms of their scouting, recruitment and other areas. When Potter came in, pretty much nothing around the Club was in place in terms of their plans/ideas and the owners spend a lot of money and time fixing it that year. Which is one of the reason Potter never would survive that job at that time. It was pretty clear that everything got better and more in place under Poch, and now its even better and more clear under Maresca. But it took the owners 2-3 years to renovate the whole club from top to bottom. But now we are starting to see the results of that.
1. Potter didn't say this... He said that Clearlake decided to sign some players in the January window.
2. These two men consistently argued that Chelsea had to have Gallagher to succeed.
3. These two men can't bring themselves to say "On current form, it looks like we were wrong."

That was probably true when Potter was there. They wanted and expected to get. Micheal Edwards for DoF; he said no. They asked Tuchel to do the job and he avoided it. Marinas only contribution before leaving was long time target Koulibaliy. Aubamayang was signed purely for Tuchel. When that we t South Boehly was technically the Director until they filed the role. But that did t happen til after Potter was gone.
If he’s out giving interviews now, does that mean he finished that color by numbers they sent him off with to keep him busy?

That was quite some time ago. That would be no different to Glenn Hoddle saying Ken Bates was the main man when he was there. Eh, yeah... but not now. How is this even a story? Now that Potter's coming to the end of his Chelsea payments he's suddenly poked his head out to make the news and get a job.
U can't put every thing on the couches. Because if the club is not doing well, and the couch is fired, the new couch may start overhauling the team.
