Thanks for all your efforts John - it's been a monthly bright spot in a dark time...
Though as a Scot I'd like to gently point out that Jig o' Slurs is a Scottish tune by the renowned Victorian piper and composer George Stewart McLennan of Aberdeen. Apparently it was written as an exercise for practising an ornament called a slur - bet he'd be surprised to see how popular it is today!

Cheers for that info ... OK then ... I learnt it from an Irish player ... all the best music has been nicked and appropriated ... the highest accolade you can give it!

Great tunes, and thank you for helping to keep us sane (ish!) this past year! It's really been a highlight. :-) The first tune has got the herring's head song stuck in my head..!

Lovely tunes, and not a bad haircut either. Getting to work on them.

Love your playing man, I have to ask, how do you have your bass keys mic’d they sound gorgeous

Thanks Justin ... the actual microphone capsule is the same as the one I'm using on the melody side (an Audio-Technica ATM350) ... but I don't use the gooseneck holder that it comes with ... I've built my own housing that gets it really close in so the mic itself if facing directly in to the back plate of the instrument ... it's held in place with neodymium magnets.
