I think the hive leader is a heliodar because its a dev spec race. I don't think it has any lore implications unless said otherwise, because he was a ganymede before swapping to heliodar.
I honestly hate it so much when players have actual in world significance. deepwoken is supposed to be a game about character loss, and having player characters assume roles (mods even more) just breaks the immersion completely. Especially when the leader of the thematic faction is a genshin impact character wannabe. I just think lore relevance should be reserved for npcs only
necromancy has extremely specific conditions to be able to happen and the resulting creature is uncontrollable. if you're thinking of a traditional summoner type oath, lifeweave itself could create constructs much like the hive mechs. but not necromancy unfortunately.

for the 3rd fact with lifeweave making it all desert is a bit of hive lore, from what i remember they are sucking life from starswept via the artifacts Though I could be mistaking as this was told to me ages ago
