@@razkable Penny and Shaq played well in the 95 finals, unfortunately the rest of the cast didn't. They were a young inexperienced team who got beaten by a team that was highly experienced (Rockets). On top of that Orlando also had a really bad head coach. A team with a 100% healthy Penny and Shaq should not be getting swept in the playoffs, it was a combination of inexperience and bad coaching. In 96 in the ECF against the Bulls it was injuries and bad coaching. At the end of the day it was growing pains. Penny would have been in GOAT discussion. He had no weaknesses and wasn't even close to being in his prime when the injuries started.
    EARLY Careers:
Lebron: Couldn't shoot well mid-range or deep. Strongest
MJ: Shooting wasn't his strength. Decent mid-range, but didn't shoot the 3 due to era. Average court vision. Most athletic, best defender, and best finisher.
Kobe: Inefficient, not much a playmaker. Might be the hardest worker.
Penny: Best passer out of the 4. Best shooter out of the 4. Had the post game, mid-range, and deep. Just as athletic besides MJ. Could finish at the rim with the best of them.
There's no doubt he would have continued to develop and just gotten better. Sky was the ceiling. My guy Penny Hardaway.

Croatia mid 90s. Penny was literally most popular player in the NBA after MJ. And i think that goes for Europe as a whole. Champion stores and Footlocker in the Italian Trieste(closest to us back then) had to restock only two NBA jerseys every single month: MJ & Penny. And then the shoes...omg....International calls to Footlocker,Italy did they get them or not.....golden times of my childhood.
