      Excluding attractions, you may expect to spend Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. Attractions are quite costly. Budget Hotels are available for around Rs 2000 to Rs 3000 per night. Food prices almost double the cost than India.

    Please tell us about travelling from phuket to bangkok... which flight is best and I am getting too much confused about their baggage policies..... as its showing cabin baggage allowed only .... can we pay for extra baggage at the time of check in ? Or we need to book it prior ?

    • @TheIndianNomad
      @TheIndianNomad  5 лет назад

      Hi Anchal. Cheapest and Best flights are Air Asia and Thai Lion Air. Cabin Baggage means that will only allow 7 kg per person for free. If you have more luggage, then you will have to purchase baggage allowance, Say 20 kg or 30 kg. Only then you can take your baggage as check in. If you book flight directly at airport, it will be costly. Better book it at least 2-3 months in advance online.

      You will require around an hour at Bangkok airport. If you use the Fast Track line, you have to pay an additional 200 Baht but you should get visa within 15-20 minutes. If you land at Phuket, expect to get visa within 30-40 minutes depending on arrival of flights. Visa cost is 2000 Baht per person but at present visa fee is waived till April 2020

      10,000 Baht per person or 20,000 Baht per family is the "official" requirement to get a visa. You may or may not be asked to show the money. I was not asked to show the money. It is rarely asked to show money. However, to be on the safer side, it is always better to carry 10,000 Baht worth of cash in Baht or any major foreign currency.

This is low season time but hotel prices are low and a few tourists as some people don't like too many tourists. You will also be eligible for free visa on arrival as Thailand govt extended visa fee waiver until Oct 2019. You can save 4000 and can use on something else.

      It's a grey area. Thailand govt has made short term renting illegal without a license. Only monthly rentals are allowed. So it's better not to take the risk if you are going through Visa on Arrival route. However, if you are trying through Sticker Visa, then you may take the chance.

    Hello Indian nomad , do we have any tours and travels outside airport to book shared mini van or shared bus to AO Nang KRABI. ?
    I am visiting krabi first followed by Phuket bcz my return flight is from Phuket early morning. And local taxi services are charging ~3k baht for AO nang :(
    Any suggestions what would be the best way to reach krabi from airport in budget?
    Any leads/pointers Is appreciated :)

    • @TheIndianNomad
      @TheIndianNomad  4 года назад

      Hi Anubhav. Actually i came from Phuket to Krabi via minibus and hence didn't have a glimpse of Krabi airport arrival scene. That said, there will surely be minibuses from airport to Ao Nang. 3000 Baht is ridiculous for 25 kms. The maximum you should pay is 800- 1000 Baht. Just land there and see your options. Install the Grab app and book it if Grab is available (However, Grab is limited in Krabi and maybe not allowed to enter the airport, so check it). Btw, where did you get this high quote of 3 k Baht?

I am landing to Phuket from Delhi and have to visit krabi same day for my hotel check in .so Is there any shared mini van/bus available near by Phuket airport area who can take me to AO nang krabi in reasonable rates ?
      Because private taxi is costing me around 3k baht.
      Looking forward for your response :)

    • @TheIndianNomad
      @TheIndianNomad  4 года назад

      I don't remember if there were any Minibus to Krabi from Phuket airport. If you get it, then it's good. Otherwise, take a Minibus to Patong Beach (About 800 Baht) and then take another minibus from Patong Beach to Krabi. (Around 500-600 Baht) You should get a minibus ticket from the travel kiosks located everywhere in Patong. Keep in mind that you may or may not get a ticket immediately to Krabi from Patong.

And if I book a private taxi then it will cost me ~3k. So I think better I negotiate with private taxi and get it done in around 2500 baht.
      What would you suggest ?
      I am sure there will be shared mini van or bus operating from Phuket airport to Krabi ao nang..it's just we are not aware of it. No worries.:)
